"Let's talk Kyle"

The younger man backed away from Hank, he had a feeling he knew what Hank wanted to talk about. He had backed into his desk and opened it and pulled out a gun.

"I swear, I didn't know Jordan's age" He said, his voice full of nervousness.

Walking over to the younger man Hank twisted his hand forcing him to drop the gun. Kyle whimpered in pain.

"I said we need to talk," Hank seethed.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"

In a fit of rage Hank forced Kyle up against the forearm against his throat. "She's 14 you son of a bitch!"

"I'm....sorry!"

"She's pregnant!"

"I know! I know! I'm sorry"

"You're going to be"

"I swear to god Voight I didn't know!"

Hank moved back and there was a squeak noise, he looked down to see a rubber duck. Looking back up he locked eyes with the younger man.

"Why do you have that?"

"I'm not going to abandon my kid. I'm not my mother and I'm sure as hell not my father"

The older man had let him go and Kyle fixed his shirt, he slowly moved to the bags on the floor. He opened them to reveal baby bottles, pacifiers, diapers, wipes, and other baby material.

"I used just about all my money from being an informant to buy this stuff. I know what it's like to be abandoned, I'd never do that to my kid. I know and understand Jordan is too young to have a baby, I'll take the baby. I'll watch the baby so Jordan can go to school, I still want Jordan to be in the kid's life. I'm trying to do the right thing Voight. My mother chose drugs and booze over me, my father walked out before I was born. I'd never do that to any child"

Hank's entire attitude had changed, he didn't just see a former addict informant. What he saw was a young man trying and attempting to change his way. Trying to step up and do right by Jordan and the baby. Starting out to be a good father.

Kyle went on. "I know I screw up but I'm trying to work through my issues. I want to pull myself together for the sake of my child. I started going to AA, NA, and I'm working on getting counseling. I'm proving that I can turn my life around and I can be a good parent. If I wanted to leave Jordan , don't you think I would have done it by now. As deeply as I am terrified of you, I sucked it up and worked through it. I'm doing whatever Jordan wants to do. As much as I want a choice in this it should be her choice. If she chooses abortion then that's what she chooses. If she wants to consider adoption I'll look into it, I know I got some stuff to work out and I can do that. If she chooses to keep the baby, I'm already there. I'm stepping up to the plate. I'll be there by her side every day through the pregnancy. Whatever she needs I'll be there, she won't go through this alone"

"Then you're going to need some help"

That had taken Kyle back. What? Hank was going to help him? The younger man stayed back a bit. "You're going to help me? After what I've done?"

"I was- am angry about what happened between the two of you. You both should have known better. Jordan owned up to what she did and I can tell you are as well, not only owning up to your half of the mistake. You're stepping up to the plate doing what you're supposed to be doing. But you also need help yourself. You need counseling, I can help you with that. Whatever you need, I can help you with as long as you keep doing what you're doing"

"Why are you helping me?"

"Everyone needs help and everyone deserves a second chance. You screwed up and owned up to your mistake. You're owed that chance, just don't blow it"

"I won't. I give you my word"

Hank held his hand out to Kyle and the younger man took it shaking hands. Before the younger man could let go the older man squeezed his hand tightly.

"Don't make me not like you after this Kyle. Don't make either of us regret this. Understand me?"

"Ow oww yes yes. Let go"

Their hands dropped and the younger informant shook the pain from his hand and looked back. "You have a tight grip"

"So I've been told"

"Could...could we maybe be friends?"

"I think we can arrange that"

"Should we maybe go and talk to Jordan?"

"I think I should go talk to her at this point, once she figures out what she wants to do then we'll all have a talk"

"Totally understand"

Hank then left and pulled his phone out to see several missed calls and texts from Trudy; he then had a feeling his daughter went to his friend. Trudy was the closest mother figure aside from Meredith that Jordan had.

He called Trudy back simply saying, "I'm on my way"

Soon Hank drove off going to his friend's house. Over at Trudy's, it had taken the older woman some time to calm her goddaughter down so she wouldn't get too stressed out. Once Jordan had been calm she had fallen asleep in the guest room.

Trudy watched her goddaughter sleep and when she heard a knock on the front door. Going down she opened the door and saw her friend there.

"What happened Hank?" Trudy asked.

"I went off and went to talk to Kyle," Hank replied. "Is Jo here?"

"She finally went to sleep about 15 minutes ago. Come in"

Hank had entered the house and Trudy went to get him some coffee, they had gone to the kitchen and sat down. The older man ran a hand down his face, a white coffee mug was placed in front of him.

"Thanks"

"You're welcome. Getting over the shock?"

He took a drink of the hot liquid. "How'd this happen?"

"It was an accident, she hadn't meant for it to happen"

"I can't believe it. My baby...she's having a baby. At 14"

"She's going to need you now more than ever. Jo's scared and she needs you now more than ever"

"I thought I had more time before this would happen. Where did I go wrong, Trudy?"

"You didn't do anything wrong Hank. Jordan made a mistake, she never intended for this to happen"

"Does anyone else know?"

"Me, Erin, Ruzek, Will and Kyle"

"I should talk to her"

"Wait till morning when she's awake"

"I'm awake" Came a soft voice, it was Jordan.

The two adults looked over and saw the teen, Jordan stood there wearing a baggy shirt that was her brother's. Her arms covering and hiding her stomach, her cheeks had dried tear stains. She took one hand and brushed her hair from her face.

"We should talk dad"
