growing up the 70s velma dinkley didnt have friends  her mother who  owns a hippie store force her to make friends so one day she ran to her mother and said "i made 3 friends" so she told her mother about each of them  first daphne blake she went to the same school with velma (she always judged velma about how crappy and cheap her clothes was  and  bully her about how fat she is if daphne was feeling bad she would dump her school food on velma and call her a cow later in her early 20s  she would be killed by serial killer) second was norville 'shaggy' rogers he was a kid lived a few miles  away from Velma's parents store ( he was dirt poor kid no hangout with at his house his parents made money but didnt care about their only son if he asked his father for some food his dad will beat him when he just turned 16 his parents caught him smoking weed and sent him to army where he died)shaggy kind of had a dog for short time he named him scooby doo he was stray and very skinny one day shaggy witness scooby being shoot for eating out of someones trash cans shaggy went to the cops but they told him animals are not humans they have no souls as they laugh last was fred jones he went to school with velma but he was a jock so he didnt know velma existence (everyone even daphne believe fred love daphne but the truth was he was trying to find out his sexuality before he asked her out  he was single along time when he joined the football when he was alone by himself he will look in the mirror and say "are you trap are you gay i tell you who you are your a fucking mystery machine" as he said that he beat himself up that the reason he calls his van the mystery machine after graduating high school a week before he was going to college he walked out of a gay bar in a big city and he saw few jerks he went to high school with and they jump him and he died)reason velma lied to her mother about her friends cause to velma books are her friends everyday she will walk to a library read for few hours then go to pizza place when she played mrs pacman  at the age of 57 she passed away from heart attack
