"I hope you have a great day," Mo said, smoothing Dray's hair out of his eyes. Her throat was thick with emotions. "I love you so much."

"Love you, Auntie Mo," he said, unfazed and eager to go inside the classroom. She gave him one last hug before passing him to Kane. Her lip wobbled, but she bit it down.

"You're going to do great. Be good for your teacher and make lots of friends. Me, and Mo, and your brother and sister will be here to pick you up."

"Love you, Kane, " the little boy said, finally being released enough to where he could go into the classroom.

Mo's chest twisted painfully and Kane wrapped a supportive arm around her shoulder.

She didn't start crying until they were out of the school and in the car. She wished Shauna could see how handsome and grown up her little boy was.

Kane gave her some space, letting her gather her thoughts.

"I'm less upset about Shauna and Joey and more upset that I don't get to spend the day with Dray," she chuckled sadly, wiping her tears with her palm.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, bumping his cheek with hers.

"He's all grown up." She gave one last shudder. "What am I going to do when the others are in school?"

"I know for a fact Lilliana will not go without a fight."

She gave a soft laugh. That was true.

"Mom said she'd bring the kids to the shop in a few hours. Do you want to get breakfast before we go in?"

"Donuts?"

She was so pitiful he couldn't help but laugh. "Of course, baby." He gave her a soft kiss.

Mo couldn't believe how fast the summer went, how much had changed and how much she had grown. She was thankful for the new people in her life, especially Kane and his parents.

She missed Shauna everyday, and she always would, but she was beginning to feel confident in her abilities as a mom, all thanks to the man by her side.

She loved Kane. She loved his business and his parents. She thought she was settled a year ago, but she felt more settled then she ever had. She realized it was okay to need help, and it was okay to not know what she was doing, she had a lot of people looking out for her.

She jumped a bit when Kane brushed her arm.

"I asked if you wanted a coffee," he said. "I was just going to take it back. I have that customer coming by to pick up her order in about an hour."

"I just want a blueberry donut, please," she said, reaching for his hand.

"What about Lily and Morgan?"

"I know they'll want a snowcone as always."

He placed the order in the drive-thru, giving her full attention when the line of cars stopped.

"What were you thinking so hard about? Still upset?" He bent his head, lips brushing before he had to roll the car forward.

"I was really scared for this moment when Shauna passed," she admitted. "I still miss Dray, but I realized that you are the one who helped me through this. You give me so much support and love. I don't think I could have made it through without you."

She could see his cheeks tinge red, mostly his ears. He paid the lady at the window and after he received the order, he pulled into a parking spot and put the car in park.

"You are the sweetest, you know that?" He smiled, kissing her with renewed vigor. "You are the strongest person I have ever met." He said as he let her take a breath, before letting their lips meet again.
