-vocabulary-

jan- person

pilin- to touch

tomo- structure

In Toki Pona, the object is preceded with 'e'.

The object is something being influenced by the action. For example, in the sentence, 'the man plants the tree,' the tree is the object because it's being planted. The man is the subject as they are the one doing the planting.

so, the order looks something like this: [subject] + [verb] + e + [object]

Here are some examples:

mi moku e moku

I eat food

sina anpa tawa e jan

You bow down towards the person

translate this:

mi jo e moku

sina pilin e moku

sina pali e tomo

I like the structure

You have food

I touch the structure

NOTE: the subject and object forms are the same; mi means both I and me, for example.
