will use theater terms! if you do not know them i'll try and explain down below but if i miss some feel free to comment or look them up.

black box- an area where the floors, walls, and ceilings are black. Typically we're theater is thought and a room to rehearse in.

blocking- how and where your character moves, such as "move stage right and sit on chair"

diction- how you pronounce words. In theater you have to be sharper and crisp with them. example would be when you say New York you would let the k in York hit harder. 

cold read- where you are giving the script and then preform with it. Typically for call backs.

call back- when you come back the day after rehearsal to read for certain characters.

table read- after you get a role you sit down at a table with all your cast and read the play. Just to get familiar with the play and your cast.
