F. You're Married?!

Being the commander of the Garrison is a tough job. After Pyxis stepped down, I was next in line. Unfortunately that meant I wouldn't get to spend time with my grumpy husband. We were very close despite never getting the chance to talk. We regularly sent letters to each other. With everything happening, I hadn't had the chance to go home. It's been about six months since I had last seen Levi. I knew he was still alive and breathing as I hadn't been informed of his death

Many people would look at me and Levi and think we were lying about being married. I didn't blame them. Most married couples would actively show how in love they are in public. That's just something me and Levi didn't do. Levi wasn't one to give affection in general. So, no I didn't expect flowers or dates, and I was okay with that. I didn't need presents to know that he loved me. We're best friends before lovers. Maybe when we were younger, he used to make my heart skip a beat, but now.. he makes me feel calm, I feel at peace when I am with him

There was a knock on the door

"Come in" I said. The door opened and in came a girl with short strawberry blonde hair. She had green eyes and freckles

"Hello, Commander. I just wanted to let you know that you've been dismissed to go home early. It's a present from Commander-in-Chief Zachary" The soldier said while placing a note on my desk. I nodded

"You're dismissed" I said. She left shortly after. I grabbed the note and read it

Dear Y/n,

I hope this reaches you. I wanted to thank you for your hardwork these past six months, I know having to fill in Pyxis' shoes must be extremely difficult, but I was sure you could do it. I'm glad that I was right. Anyway, thanks to your hard-work, we're actually ahead of schedule. I decided that you could use some time off. I'm giving you a week off of work, please go enjoy yourself, and tell that husband of yours I said hello

I smiled at the note. I was kind of excited for some time off. I wanted to go back home and see Levi. It feels like it's been forever since I had last spoken to him in person. I got up from my desk and then walked out of my office. I left HQ and then traveled to the Survey Corps HQ through a carriage. The ride was long and bumpy, and it was an awful place to sleep. One wrong move and you might snap your neck

Though, eventually I did arrive. The carriage dropped me off, right in front of the HQ. I stepped out of the carriage and onto the ground beneath me. At the doors, two guards were standing there on watch. I approached the door when the guards stopped me. I rolled my eyes as I sighed
