His time was running out. I knew that. I knew that, and still I couldn't let go. I couldn't just give him away. I wouldn't allow them to take Y/n
I heard him coughing in the other room. I rushed in with a glass of water. He looked so weak and so sick. I set down the glass of water and helped Y/n sit up. I grabbed the glass and helped Y/n drink it
"Mikasa.." He began. I cupped his face with my hand
"What is it?" I asked
"My time is running out.. we both know th-" I cut him off
"You're going to be fine. You'll be fine. Don't worry" I said. Y/n looked at me with a soft smile
"The Military Police are looking for me. It's time for the Attack Titan to be passed down. Just like Eren passed it down to me" Y/n said. I cried at those words. I wouldn't let them take Y/n away. I wouldn't let them take away someone I cared for. Not again
"No, no.. I'll kill them. You'll be fine" I said. That's when banging was heard on the door
"Mikasa Ackerman! You are under arrest for housing Y/n L/n!" Someone yelled. I felt my blood boil hearing those words. They were here, trying to take away Y/n
"I'll kill them.. I'll kill them.." I said as went to go grab my swords by a weak hand stopped me
"Mikasa.. I'm suffering.. please? Let them take me.. we'll always be together, my dear. Always.. just not physically.." Y/n had told me. I rushed over to him and wrapped my arms around him as I began to sob. The door was kicked open which made a loud noise
"Mikasa Ackerman, hand over Y/n L/n now!" Floch said. I looked at Floch with teary eyes. Floch understood how hard it must have been having to do this for the second time now
"I'm sorry, Mikasa.." Floch said
"Mikasa, you have to let me go.. please?" Y/n said. I didn't want to. I knew I would never see him again. I knew he'd be eaten. I didn't want the love of my life to do
"Mikasa.. come on, don't make me" Floch said. I shook my head. I wouldn't give him up
"Cuff her" Floch said remorsefully. Jean walked in with cuffs. He looked at me with sorrow in his eyes. He pulled me away and cuffed my hands behind my back. I struggled to get back to Y/n as Floch and Hitch picked up Y/n
"Y/n! Jean! Let me go! Let me go!" I cried as they began to walk away with Y/n. Y/n smiled at me
"Goodbye my dear, until we meet again" He said. I screamed as I broke down. Tears streaming down my face
"I don't want to wait to meet again.. don't leave me.." I cried
