Jake and Ryu

It was now morning Jake and Ryu were asleep. The other champions had food taken food in for both Jake and Ryu. Jake woke up before Ryu did and went over to the chair beside the girl and sat down. He gently touched her hand the girl opened her eyes slowly. "Jake? Your ok.." She asked. Jake nodded. "yes I am... Thank you... Namjoon has given you double the max number of points. One for killing the hardest one of the beasts to kill and another for saving my life. I owe you Ryu." Jake told her softly. "Ok... Here are my two questions... Who are all of you?.." She asked. "Well.. we are all the remaining ones who won. I'm from castle ENHYPEN which is seven of us, BTS has seven as well, Itsy is 5, Blackpink is 4, Aespa is 4, TXT is 5 and my own mentor Beomgyu is part of  TXT." Jake said "ok and were are all of the ones who failed to win the games?" She asked. Jake froze. "Ryu... That isn't a now question..." He told her. She only sighed. "But you said you would answer any question Jake." He sighed. "I need to show you later today..." Ryu grinned at him. "Yay thank you." He only sighed. "For now eat your food. You need it.. Whatever you do... you can't freak out promise me ok?" Jake told her after giving her plate of food to her. She smiled softly taking it. "Thanks Jake." She then ate her food.

The other 28 who still had the normal training where all in the arena training with their mentor. Some of them knew about Ryu's condition and it made them worried of what had done that to the girl. She was the best out of all of them so it had to be hard. They wondered if Ryu managed to win and if it was a creature did she kill it. 

Later around lunch they saw Ryu walking with Jake. They both were heading to the dining room. Jake helped her into her chair whispering something to her then he left her. Ryu ate her food the others saw the cuts and other smaller wounds all over her skin that wasn't covered by her oversized shirt and cargo shorts. The girl didn't like showing she was injured but Jake had convinced her not to dress in a way uncomfortable for her just to hide all the wounds from killing the creature as all of them would end up in that way in time. "Ryu.. what happened?" Mansumi asked Ryu worry written all over her face. "oh uh where the wounds come from?" the other girl nodded. "uh well... cuz our training is harder we had to fight something alive.. I defeated mine but it almost killed Jake. Kai and Sakura found us and took both of us to the hospital wing." Ryu said finishing and going back to her food.

Lunch was over and Ryu was going to the common room were Jake said to meet her. She found Jake he waved her over. "Ok Ryu... Just know.. It's not a pretty sight.. you were warned.." Jake told her.

The girl nodded. "I live in a rural place on a farm. I've had my fair share of morbid and gross.." She trailed off. Jake nodded handing her the bow and quiver full of arrows she had from the other night. "There won't be monsters like the one you fought from last night but there are smaller and easier to kill ones. They will be nothing for you" Jake said. With that Jake headed out of the castle with Ryu to the forest. "Ready?" Jake asked her. She nodded. Both then headed into the forest deeper and deeper. The mentor and ilander where suddenly surrounded by a bunch of catlike creatures. There body was surrounded by fire all of them looked as if they were dead. Ryu shot one in the head dropping it onto the ground Jake shot two with his gun they followed with the same one as Ryu's did landing on the ground it's murky blue/green blood pooling onto the floor. Both ran shooting at them to get were Jake was taking her. In the heart of the forest Jake stopped at a weird cave like building. "Here... You find your answer." Jake told her Both went into the cave what the girl saw shocked her. Bodies hug from wooden beams and some on the ground in glass coffins. "This... is what happened to the ones who failed." Jake said softly. A single tear escaped Jake turned to her hugging her tight. "Ryu.. please please don't end up here like them.. you gotta pass.. you gotta.. you need to end up in castle  Black:light.." Jake mumbled holding the girl tightly. "Jake.. what's wrong?" Ryu asked him sweetly worried about him. "Ryu... I know you could die in the games.. but I love you.. even though I'm not supposed to I love you." Jake whispered softly. Ryu broke the hug looking into Jake's brown eyes with her cold gray eyes. "Then I'll fight Jake and I won't give up. I won't just be fighting for me I'll fight for us Jake." Ryu told him. Both where looking at the other's face there eyes straying to the other's lips. Both slowly got closer and closer until there lips gently pressed together. a soft and innocent kiss yet filled with love and passion for the other. Both pulled from the kiss after a while Ryu blushed looking down. "Do even need to ask?" Jake said softly. Ryu shook her head. "Yes Jake I love you and I'll fight for us both in the games." Ryu said. Jake picked her up putting her on his back.  "I'm gonna carry you to get weight off your foot." Jake said softly. Ryu smiled softly. "Jake I'm fine really." Ryu said laughing. "No you had to save my life and I was supposed to keep you safe. Your not supposed to be using your foot so much anyways so I will carry you it doesn't bother me anyways." Jake held onto her tightly careful of her injured leg. partway through Ryu and Jake met the catlike beats. They where hissing and biting at the two. Jake started shooting at the creatures. One suddenly bit Ryu's arm ripping her from Jake's back. The girl yelped startled more came over attacking her. Jake turned around seeing her using a knife to try and keep them away. "Ryu!" He yelled shooting at the catlike beats. He was able to pull the girl away from the beats. She had blood all over her barely awake. "It's ok I got you Ryu.." Jake whispered softly kissing her forehead. He hurried out of the forest with her in his arms.  He carried her to her room gently laying her in her bed. Sunghoon saw Jake go past with the girl in his arms. He went into the room to find Jake gently moving the hair from her face softly pecking her then going to grab the first aid kit for were her arm got bitten and the other wounds from the catlike beasts that attacked her. Sunghoon stayed at the doorway waiting for Jake to come back. Jake walked in sitting next to Ryu cleaning off the wound on her arm. "Jake what happened to her?" He asked. "For her question she asked what happened to the ilanders who failed.. so I took her to the pit and showed her... when we came back on the way one of those beasts got her arm ripping her onto the ground then a bunch more surrounded her attacking her. I pulled them away from her but she was still badly injured.. It's my fault I wasn't able to keep her safe..." Jake said pain in his voice as he finished cleaning her wounds before he wrapped the bite on her arm. "What else happened? I saw you kiss her forehead, Jake." Sunghoon said. Jake froze not knowing Sunghoon had been there long enough to see him being soft to the girl.  "It's nothing..." Jake mumbled. "Oh yea? nothing? Jake you looked at her with worry and love. You love her Jake. She may die and you love her!"  Sunghoon shouted. Just then Ryu softly groaned Jake sat down in front of her concerned. "Ryu you ok? I'm sorry I couldn't stop them from getting you... Are you ok" The male apologized to her worried. She laughed softly. "Takes more than a little bites to take me down Jakey." She said softly smiling. "I'm glad your ok I'm still sorry they got you." Jake said again. Sunghoon frowned looking at the two. "Wait... you both feel the same aish Jakeee!" Sunghoon wined. "What... How can I not love her? She is perfect and I love her." He said looking at the girl. "Aish Jake!" She wined hitting his arm at his flirting. "I'm not perfect!" He only smiled at her. "Jake aish... what if you have to fight her for one of the games? Namjoon will catch you love her!" Sunghoon said to the older male. "Who is he?" The girl asked looking at Sunghoon. "Oh uhm.. My name is Park Sunghoon I'm from castle ENHYPEN same as Jake." He told her. "I'm Kim Ryu." She told him grinning. He nodded. "Jake... if you have to fight her we can swap and you can fight my i-lander A-yeong." Sunghoon told him. Jake nodded. "Fight me?" Ryu asked confused. Jake sighed. "Example for ENHYPEN's season we had to fight our mentor. Sunghoon is offering that he will fight you so that you won't have to fight me." Jake told her. "Oh.. so Sunghoon is offering so that we have an option?" She asked. Jake nodded laughing. "Ryu.. you look like a puppy." the smaller frowned. "puppy? How?" Both the males laughed. "Jake only is meaning your cute yet scary so puppy instead of kitten. Jake just sees kittens as balls of fluff not anything scary but that's why Jake used puppy." Sunghoon explained. The smaller pouted. "Well I want cuddles so gimmeeee! gimme cuddles." Both laughed at her and Jake went next to her pulling her against his chest. "How is this?" He said. "mmm good." she mumbled smiling.
