Request: "How about Ruv x Reader but the reader finds a cat?

It could be like a few of the other oneshots where they've already been dating for a bit. Maybe the reader finds a cat on the way home and takes it with them, then they could stop by the church with the cat on their way to take it to the vet to get it checked out. You can choose what Ruv's reaction to the cat will be :)"

A/N: I felt though this is a little bumpy in it's writing, it was rather fun, I hope it turned out okay!
If there's any issues please say so! I kind of drifted off near the end, but I hope I wrapped this up well enough, I hope it's not too much to swallow in one go!

It was an average day, the cold breeze making it's call, knowing that soon enough, a coat of snow would eventually take the city by storm, even if it was only a few months away. Winter, what a lovely time of the year, of course to each their own, but with it, came both joys and issues.You sighed as you placed your hands in your jacket, you had to clothe more, due to the weather taking a colder form as of recent, despite this, you did what you could to stay warm. Passing along the other people scarcely traveling around the city at this time of day, and in this cold. Some tall and dressed heavily in nice clothing, others seemingly rushing over to a mall that was well known for it's holiday specials, opening their doors early, ripe for the interest of paying customers. Some buying presents or gifts at the low prices, other showing up just to look at the seasonal décor, teenagers getting their first job there and working the grave shift until they buckled inwards, tired and worn out.

The scuffing of shoes, more so, your shoes, abruptly stopped as you shoved your shoe into something of white fur, as it pounced down the alleyway, sprinting away and hiding just out of view.You regained your footing, not wanting to fall face first into the concrete or into oncoming traffic. Letting your eyes drift after a moment down the long alleyway, it's darkness simply ensnared anything that entered it, that white ball of fur that made a squeak when came into contact, simply surrounded and covered in the shroud of darkness.You took a moment to backtrack, what was that little ball of fur you collided your shoe with?Your curiosity called before anything else, lightly crouching as you looked down into the abysmal inky black. Your hand skirting across the brick wall that adorned the sides of this enclosed space, despite the darkness it held, you could clearly see there was no way out, it was a dead end and simply hit an abrupt wall. It should not hurt to maybe have a look around, seeing if you can find that odd ball of fluff in there, maybe in a trashcan, or hiding in a plastic bag.

You held your phone up and turned on it's built in flashlight function, not wanting to delve into this darkness with no clue what was in there, as much as you assumed it was as safe as any other alley way, it was better to be cautious than end up stepping on some pile of trash that has some kind of left overs in it.You continued to make your way down as you were met with two shining balls of light, it was the things eyes, tiny, probably the lights were as big as part of your thumb, whatever that thing was, it was small."Mrrp?" The creature made a noise, and you gained a small smile as it hopped on top of the trashcan and looked at you.

It was a cat! White fur and size being a dead give away now, though you proposed it would be silly if someone ended up dying a racoon or a large rat in white and then sent them out in the city, you were glad your call was right to make as it continued to speculate you with it's eyes, it seemed curious, it's head waving around looking for better angles.You approached the small ball of white fluff slowly, a smile easily morphing onto your face, what a cute cat! You did wonder where it came from, as you finally let your fingers reach out to the little thing, it sniffed with interest, yet caution. It tickled, feeling the tiny sniffs from that dry pink nose that it adorned, gently it allowed your fingernails to grace it's cheek, as you paused, finally relaxing your shoulders."Aren't you a cute cat!" You said out loud, letting your hand move around the small friend you made, as you booped it on the noise, feeling it's body rumble with joy.
