can I have your throne?

oh to be a woman in the olden days poisoning her husband for the throne...

can i have the throne darling?  

As if I would ever ask for the throne, it is mine for the taking...

-several treacherous plans later- 

"Die husband, I have want of the throne."

"What other power do you crave that you already don't have?"

"Yours."

"A noble wish that I can and will provide."

"Is this a confirmation of your loyalty?

"All my loyalty is for you and you only for there is no lady with fairness like yours"

"Then I shall gladly take your thrown and your death."

"I shall take it with Honor."

"You are truly worthy of the kingdom, its a shame you chose to give it away but I am grateful none the less."

"Are you saying that you are not worthy of a kingdom as well?"

"No, I just want your kingdom."

"And if I gave you all of my hoodies instead of my life?"

"If I own your kingdom, I own your hoodies as well."

"I shall this make it that as soon as I die, so do the hoodies then."

"Tis a sad loss but I shall not be distracted from my goal of ruling."

"And what if I gave you puppies?"

"...internally melting... eeehhhhhh no.....but the puppies...but the kingdom....."

"So....?"

"Aghhhh I will not be persuaded, once I rule I can own ALL the cute puppies!"

"But then you will not have anyone to share the cuteness with."

"Meh, the advisor will suffice."

"I do believe he's allergic."

"Darn."

"Indeed darn."

"...so?"

"this would be a good time for you to keep me alive...just a suggestion..."

"and why would I do that if my goal is your throne, thus I must have your life."

"You can have my kingdom, title, and power, but all I ask is that you keep me alive so I can give you something that all the kingdom could never give you."

"And that would be...?"

"My unconditional love."

"Damn. Thats a great argument you've put up."

"Why thank you, I did my best."

"Your life is safe, and many thanks for your throne, gifts and love."

"For you princess, anything."

According to a friend, this is proof that you can never please women...I dont see it but let me know if you agree or disagree.
