Kodie POV 

I chuckled at the text message Dani sent me before replying back. "What do you want to eat Ko" mom smiled. "Can I just get a salad" I asked. She nodded. "What about you Sebastian" she asked him. "Mmm chicken tenders" he smiled. "Okay" she said. "Mom I can do it you should sit down" I said helping her walk over to the island. "Kodie no I'm your mom I'm supposed to cook for you" she said. "I know ma but the doctor said you shouldn't be on your feet too much" I said kissing her cheek. "I got it don't worry" I said walking over to the kitchen. I started cooking the chicken tenders with a side of fries for Sebastian. "Come get your food Seb" I called. "Thank you Ko Ko" he said kissing my cheek as I placed it in front of him. "Hey Lodie I wanna talk to you about something when your done eating" my mon said. "Bet" I nodded placing the salad next to Seb taking a seat. After I was done eating Seb went to play a game while I went to the back where my mom was. "Hey last night I heard you crying" she said. "Is everything okay" she asked. "Really yeah I'm fine" I nodded. "Kodie" she raised a brow. "You have bags under your eyes you look like a vampire and it's not something that just happened like this you've been looking like this every since you got here this weekend" she said. "And don't think I didn't see your scars on your arms when we went jet skiing. Just tell me Ko what's really going on" she asked. "Nothing just some stuff I'm tryna take care of" I lied. "Stop bullshitting me Shantil" she yelled. "I said im fucking fine mom god damn I don't understand why you think im not okay im fine actually im better than fine" I yelled angrily kicking her flower pot over. It broke into a million pieces but I didn't care. "Everything's fucking perfect" I chuckled heated as I walked back into the house and she followed me. "Kodie stop. She said as I picked up a vase throwing it. I kicked over the table as she tried to stop me. "Get the fuck off of me" I screamed pushing her away. "Kodie stop she said as I put on my shoes. "Your acting like your dad" she said causing me to get angrier. "Don't ever compare me to that man ever again" I said balling up my fist. "I'm nothing like him and I never will" I barked before walking out the house. "Kodie come back" she said. I bumped into something looking back at her. "Where you going" Alexander asked. "Away" I said tryna get past him. He grabbed me by my arm dragging me back in the house. "Let go you stupid nigga" I said. He grabbed me up by my shirt and slammed me against the wall. "You wanna disrespect me cool but you not gone disrespect you mother" he scolded. "I'll do whatever I want to do fuck ass nigga" i gritted. He frowned slamming me on the ground. "Okay come on tough guy. He said as I tried to get up. He kept kicking me over. "Apologize to your mom" he said kicking me against the wall. "Apologize he scream grabbing me by my hair. "Alex your hurrying her" mom cried. "Shh" she told her. "Apologize little bitch" he said putting her foot on my cheek applying pressure. "I'm sorry" I cried as he pressed harder. He removed his foot going upstairs. I cried laying on the floor.

The next day

I found myself at Danis house.. "Damn he fucked you up" she said putting the ice pack in my cheek telling me to hold it. "It's my fault" I sighed. "Can't even say it's not" she chuckled. I frowns din pain as she  cleaned a cut. "What caused you to lash out" she asked. I shrugged. "I'm not sure" I lied. "I'm just in an irritable state" I said. "Well going to sleep would help" she said. "I go to sleep" I said. "Kodie your literally sending me videos til 6 in the morning " she rolled her eyes. I sighed. "Come on" she said. She guided me into her room. She sat me down on the bed. "Go to sleep" she told me. "I can't" I said. "Shh" she said putting my head on the pillow. "Are you gonna stay" I asked. "Of course" she said. I grabbed her hand holding it yawning. "Night Dani" I said closing my eyes

Dani POV 

"What's troubling you" I whispered rubbing her head as she snores lightly. "Your so different but so troubled I don't know if I want to get involved" I said. I let go of her hand as her phone pinged. It was her mom texting her where she was. I responded back telling them that she was at a friends house. I went downstairs. "Who's that girl up their"  dad asked me. "My friend Kodie" I said. "Oh that's Kanye's kid right" he asked. I nodded. "So y'all are just friends" he asked sipping his drink. "Yeah we're friends" I smiled pouring some water. "Nice" he said. "How you liking it up here" he asked. "I like it a lot it's so beautiful but there's no place like Atlanta" I said. "And their never will be" he chuckled. I nodded. "So made any other new friends up here" he asked. "Afew dancers" I said. He nodded smiling. "I'm really glad your fitting in here" he kissed my forehead. "Thanks dad" I said. I went upstairs and just watched tv sitting on my giant bean bag. A few hours later Kodie stirred in her sleep. I smiled swing her rubbing her eyes sitting up. "Your like a little kid" I chuckled. She looked at me. "Dani oh shit I didn't tenant to fall asleep what time is it" she asked frantically. "Don't worry your mom knows your with me" I said. She nodded. "You smoke" she asked pulling out a blunt. "Sometimes" I said. We went out to my terrace. "What do you want to do when you graduate" I asked her as she lit it. "Be a producer just like my dad" she said. "I mean that's what everyone expects right" She asked. "Do whatever you wanna do" I said. "I actually like producing I'm working on this song" she said grabbing her guitar from the room. She passed me the blunt playing it. "Know that I loved you so bad I let you treat me like that I was your willing accomplice honey" she sang. I smiled.  "And I watched as you fled the seen doe eyes as you buried me  one heart broke four hands bloody. The things I did just do I could make you mine. The things you did well I hope I was your favorite crime" she sang. "That's all I got right now" she smiled. "That's amazing Ko you have a nice voice" she said. "This isn't for me it's for this Disney star" I said. She nodded. "So you write for other people" she asked. "Sometimes yeah" I nodded. "What about you what do you want to Do when your older" she asked. "I want to be a dance teacher own my own dance studio" I smiled. "Help little girls gain confidence in themselves through dance help the develop a since of pride and grace" I said. "That's deep" Kodie nodded taking a pull from the blunt. "Your a good person" she nodded. "People like me only car about myself" she said. I frowned a little. "That's good you wanna help people" she chuckled looking at me. Her eyes were low and I could tell she was gone. "Do you plan on marriage" I asked her. Sheet out a laugh. "Not right now no. I don't think I'm ever gonna get married. I don't wanna fight my wife" she said shaking her head looking at the horizon. "I want to get married and have 3 kids" I said. "Well I guess they can come visit aunty kodie sometimes" she said causing me to laugh. "Your so silly" I chuckled. She smiled. "Do you ever wonder what life would be like if we weren't kids of famous people" she asked laying back staring at the sky. "All the time" I nodded. "I probably would be the same . Still love dance still have the same aspirations just in cheaper clothes" I said. She nodded. "I'd probably be a completely different person" she said. "I've seen a lot of shit been through a lot of shit. Shit that changed me. I'm wired differently then everyone else because of my family" she said. "How bad could it be your family is filled with millionaires" I asked. She chuckled. "You don't know the half of it" I said
