"Kodie we wanted to sit you down and talk to you" mom said. Dad nodded sadly. "Me and your father haven't been seeing eye to eye for a couple of months now and we think it's best if we separate" Kim said. My eyes widened even though I knew it was coming. "Yeah pal we love each other still but we're just no good together" dad sighed. I just stared at the table as my heart sunk. "Kodie" Kim said placing her hand on mine. "What's running through your head" she asked. I shook my head. "What does this mean for me" I asked. "What about my siblings" I asked. "Well your mother thought it'd be best if they stay here with her while I go live in Wyoming" he said causing me to look up. "So that's why" I said. "We'd thought we'd leave it up to you who you wanna stay with" Kim told me. "I won't feel any type of way if you choose to stay with your dad I understand that is your biological father" Kim rubbed my hand softly. "I just" I said trying to stay calm. "Hey you okay" Kim asked. "Will I still get to se met siblings if I go with you" I asked dad. "Of course we're still gonna visit them every month" he nodded. I got up. "When do you leave dad" I asked. "Tonight" he said. I nodded walking off. I went into North's room. Her and saint were watching a movie together. "Hey guys" I smiled. "Ko Ko" they smiled. "Dads going to Wyoming tonight are you going too" Saint asked. "Yeah kid I am" I said. He nodded hugging me. "Gonna miss you Ko Ko" he said. "Im gonna miss you to Sainty" I kissed his forehead. "You okay" I asked North. She nodded smiling a little. "Here" I said giving her my bracelet. "I want you to have it" I said putting it on her wrist. "That way when you look down you'll always know that I'm here e with you" I smiled. "Saint" I called. He looked at me as I took my chain off. "This is for you" i said putting it around his neck. He smiled down at it. "I'll see you two in a couple weeks" I kissed their foreheads before going to pack. "Hey I'm gonna go say bye to my friend" I told mom. She nodded sniffing. I frowned coming over to her. "I'm sorry this is happening" I told her. "Me too" she sighed as I kissed her forehead. "I don't feel no way about you and him. I love you the same. I still consider you my step mom" I said. "I know dad is hard to get along with and understand. I don't blame you at all" I said honestly. She cried more hugging me. "Thank you for that" she said. I nodded. I smiled as she let go and walked out the door. I skated down the road to Danis house. I climbed up the balcony and knocked on her door. "Jonathan stop" I heard giggling. She opens the door and I saw a dark skin nigga with a big ass head but he was short. "Kodie what are you doing here" she smiled. "Just dropout by to say I'm gonna be outta town for a while" I said watching as he kissed on her neck and she giggled pushing him away. "Really where are you going" she asked. "Wyoming with my dad" I nodded. "Oh well text me later" she said. "Oh kodie this is Jonathan Johnathan this is my friend Kodie" she said. There goes that sting of pain in my heart. He nodded at me. I nodded back. "I'll text you I guess I'll text you later then" I said. "Bye kodie" she said as Jonathan dragged her back in the room closing the doors. I hopped over the railing before hopping off the balcony. I skated down the street with my fist balled. I shouldn't even be mad. "Kev" I called. He looked up. "Ko hey" he smiled. "I'm moving to Wyoming" I said. He looked at me surprised. "Oh when" he asked as I sat next to him on the grass. "Tonight" I said. "Woah you just telling me" he asked. "No I didn't know til today my parents are getting a divorce" I mumbled. "I'm sorry to hear that Ko" he said. "Are you okay you wanna talk about it" he asked. "No not really" I shook my head. "I kinda saw it coming they've been fighting for the past 4 months" I said. "I'm really sorry Ko" he sighed. "Do you want me to come with you" he asked. "You'd do that" I asked. "Yeah help you settle in" he nodded. I smiled. "Of course I'd have to come home eventually" he said. "We're visiting the last week of this month" I said. He nodded. "I'll come with you let me just pack" he said. "You want me to help you I kinda don't feel like being at home" I said. "Go say bye to Kaash" he said. "Then come back" he said. I nodded. I skated up the street to Kaash house. "Who is it" Jay asked. "It's your favorite niece" I smiled. He sighed opening the gate. I walked up to the estate. Kaash opened the door. "Wassup Ko dad said you were here wanna shoot some hoops and play video games" she asked. "Uhh actually Kaash" I said sadly. "I came to say bye because me and my dad are moving to Wyoming tonight and we won't be back until the last week of this month" I said. "Oh is everything okay" she said as her smile dropped. "Their getting a divorce" I told her. She was really quiet. "Did you know" she asked. "I knew something was off they've been fighting constantly and the last two weeks were the worst" I told her. "I'm sorry to hear that" she said hugging me. "Whatever you need I'm here Ko" she said. "If you wanna talk just call you know Imma always pick up" she said. "Thank Kaash" I smiled. "If you ever need to get away from your house when you here your always welcome here" she said. I smiled. "Did you say bye to Dani and Kevin" she asked. "Well yeah I said bye to Dani. Kevin actually volunteered to come with me" I said. "That's dope as fuck wish I could come" she said. "Mom and Dad have made in America this weekend" she said. I nodded. "Imma be watching bro" I smiled. She smiled dapping me. "I'll see you later" she said. I nodded as she gave me one last hug. I walked back to Kevin's and we prepared to leave.
