Omfg I hate independent reading so much.
I don't hate reading. I love reading. But I don't like doing it for school, especially when I'm someone who actually likes reading. We did 4 weeks of independent reading from Oct to Nov, which isn't too bad. Since January 10 of, we have dome ind reading every week. So 7 weeks in a row. I'm already reading 2 books, not counting fics. I know my teacher doesn't know this, but what she does know is that 95% of the class does not like reading. It's not fair how they have to suffer through almost 10 straight weeks of doing shift they don't even like when we could be doing other things.
I understand that my teacher wants us to read everyday, but you can't force some middle schoolers to do things they don't want to.
Basically, I hate independent reading and I have hated it since second grade.
