Chapter Ten

It's been three days already since I avoided Liz and the intramurals end yesterday too.

It's February 18 now. And tomorrow is the day that we will be going to a shooting range and I'll teach her how to shoot. And also.. the day I said to myself I'll make her stop courting me and be my girlfriend instead.

"Summer!" Ate Sai called Summ.

"Yes, Mommy?" She ran towards her mom.

Someone rang the doorbell.

Yes, I've been in Ate Jai's house too for three days :^

"Liz,"

"Rei, can we have a walk?" She asked.

I just nodded and wore my slippers.

We went to our favorite spot. The beach.

"Come home now, Rei." She said.

"I'm sorry." I apologized. "I got jealous."

"I'm sorry for making you jealous, Rei."

I looked at my watch.

11:59 pm.

I waited until it turns 12:00 am.

"Let's be together now so we could have the rights to get jealous." I said.

"Okay." She said.

"K. Binabawi ko na. Kabag lang yun wag mo na lang sigurong pansinin." I said and brushed the sand at my jogger pants.

I was about to walked away when she pulled my wrist and made her hug me.

"It's 12:00 am now.. Let's stay like this for a while, Love." She whispered.

I hugged her back.

This is the home I want.

"Lumalamig na, uwi na tayo." Pagaya ko.

"Nakauwi na 'ko."

I laughed.

"We're home pero sa dorm yung mean ko." I said.

She let go of the hug and interwined my hand with hers.

"Tuloy ba tayo mamaya?" She asked.

"Shooting range?" I asked. "Yeah, Bakit hindi? Ako nga sana makikipag-ayos sayo matuloy lang."

"Siguro kaya mo ko tinanong ng fave day ko kasi sasagutin mo na ko, ano?!" She teased.

I hide my face in her arms.

"Tama ako?!"

"Yes, tumahimik ka na."

"Love," she called.

I blushed.

Lakas pala ng tama ko sayo, Liz.

"Yes, Love?" I asked.

"Can we just transfer to other universities out there?" She asked.

"Huh? Why would we? Is it about Reese?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Running away won't solve problems, Love. We can but we're the student council's officers too."

"So no?" She asked.

"Sa college pwede. Pero sila Wonyoung kaya eh diba sa kanya yung responsibity ng parents niya sa Shedlyn if wala sila? Baka hindi siya sumama." I said.

"Tsaka siya yung nagpunta bakit tayo aalis eh duon naman tayo?" I asked

"Wag na lang pala tayo magtransfer." She said.
