"it's okay, i can walk home."

"it's late, just stay!", i insist.

jay sighs, giving in to me.

i get my keys out my pocket, putting it in my door. Once i unlock my door, i grab jay's hand, bringing him inside.

"sun- oh, hello!", my mom says, putting on an act.

"hello, ms.kim.", jay replies

she bows, welcoming jay in. i knew she was putting on an act because of jay. hopefully, she doesn't do anything when he leaves.

i lead jay to my room.

he opens the door and observes my room.

"nice room."

"thank you."

he drops his bag by my bed and sits down.

"so, sunoo...why did you try to uh, you know."

"kill myself?", i say bluntly

he nods slowly.

i sigh.

"no reason."

sunoo just tell him...

your mom is abusing you, say something!

jay got up to comfort me, i didn't realize i was crying.

he grabs me and hugs me.

i started crying harder when he wrapped my arms around me. at the moment, i felt safe. i felt like he wouldn't hurt me.

"my mom..."

don't tell him, he won't help you.

just kill yourself, he does really care.

"m-my mom.."

"she hits me..."

jay tighten his grip around me, rubbing my back.

"she hits you?", he asks.

i nod, gripping onto his shirt tighter.

why would you tell him! he'll just bully you.

no, he won't. keep talking.
