Chapter 4: Male or Female? Nope! It's Mail (part 2)

After a wait in the elevator, Alex entered the second floor, waltzing nervously through the corridors, her feet shuffling on the maroon carpet, glancing at the dark oak doors with numbers labeled on gold plates. Eventually they encountered someone. A zombie, but not feral, long brown hair, black eyes, donning a AP/CP band tee, ripped jeans, and some checkered sneakers, "Hiya, Al!" "ACK-! Oh, hi, Ronnie!" Alex bubbled brightly but being careful. Ronnie tilted his head and let out a sharp toothed grin "Whatcha doin?~" Ronnie asked playfully, as he was curious for what new thing his aquaintence had in store, "Oh, I have to deliver Majin a package. I'm doing errands." Alex shared. "Aww... Ya seem nervous." Ronnie frowned. Alex sighed, took a breath, and spoke, "My first two encounters with Majin were bad, so I don't want him to recognize me."

"Well you can cover your face with the shade from the brim of your hat... Or you can cover your face with your hair, I do it and people barely recognize me!" "You think I would believe that, eh?" She adjusted her hat so that the shadows fell over her eyes like a curtain over a window in the midnight moonlight.

Collecting all her courage and determination, Alex took a deep breath, 'C'mon Al, you can't break the promise you made! Breaking a promise is disgraceful and dishonest, you can't break your moral code!' Alex thought to herself. She did not want to break a promise because to her, it would be morally wrong. Breaking a promise to them was like an act of heresy, as it was disloyal and seen as an unforgivable act in her eyes. She knocked on the door ...

"Hello!" a cheery voice answered, coming from a tall hedgehog, about 7 feet tall, entirely blue, with black eyes, seemingly close to the void. Alex turned her head and handed the package over, "Package for Majin," "... Hey I think I know you!" Majin acknowledged. Alex shuddered a bit, the temperature of her body dropped, seemed to alex that her game could be over. Alex turned her head to look directly at Majin, trying her best not to let any light onto her eyes like it was a life or death situation. "What do you mean, sir?" "Well your voice and hair look very familiar. Reminds me of someone." Majin recalled. Alex's stance was frozen like ice, but she wanted to run away, as if a lion was chasing her. Although draped in the blinding shadows, Alex's eyes were filled to the brim in a frighteningly familiar fearfulness.

It was at that point majin slightly tipped the brim upwards, revealing Alex's bright emerald eyes. "Ohohohoho~ Well hello there, Alex, old buddy!" Majin chuckled. Alex's eyes went from fearful to mildly annoyed, "Do NOT call me buddy! I hate being called that." Alex sneered softly. Majin took a step back, then went back to his original position "Well sorry, honey bee." Majin smirked back with a grin on his face. Alex paused, they never had somebody call them anything fluffy like 'honey bee'. Alex, in all their life, was called 'Al', or 'Alextron', not something cute and fluffy. "H-huh?" "Well you are pleasant, adorable, soft, and hard-working! You never give up on anything, kinda like a honey bee!" Majin explained.

Alex blinked. She was confused, her eyes lit up bright, and her emotions danced. She blinked and shook her head lightly, "I'm sorry, I am still shaken up by-" "The first two incidents? Yes, they were not to pleasant. I wish to apologize for the problems that bloomed that day. I hope that you might show pity." Majin sighed. Alex's expression went from heightened to remorseful. Majin sighed, and turned his head slightly in a sadly shy motion, "I... I don't know if you'd forgive me. I know that with you being the tough barrier of unphasement you ar-"
Majin was cut off by Alex hugging them. Alex smiled softly, yet sweet like cotton candy, "Oh, Majin. You know that I'd forgive you, even after all that has happened. I'm not that harsh." the candy-apple red haired woman sighed somberly, yet sweetly.
Majin weng silent, almost that of a night in a country side.

Then, the hedgehog's face lit up like the northern lights. He
was ecstatic! Alex was welcomingly surprised by being picked up like a cat and spun around. "ありがとう！どうもありがとう、ミツバチ！あなたと一緒でも、楽しみは本当に無限大です！(Thank you! Thank you so much, honey bee! I knew the fun was truly infinite with you!)" Chirped out Majin, as he was giving Alex hugs and nuzzling the side of her face. Alex chuckled whilst she blushed a cupcake frosting pink, as this felt more comforting. She was more worried about that of what could go wrong, she never thought about what could go right for them. "Well no problem, Majin! Thanks for understanding, and hey..."
Alex held Majin's hand, and gazed into their face. Majin looked back to see Alex's green eyes, shining brighter than an emerald within the depths of a mine. "Thanks for hearing me out."

They smiled softer than a plush bear. Majin smiled back, and hugged back. The two were in an embrace warmer than fire, softer than felt, and kinder than a daycare keeper. It was pleasant moment within the motions. Soon they let go, as Alex had to get back to their errands, "Well I have to get going! Ciao, Majin!" "さようなら、ミツバチ (Goodbye, honey bee!)" They waved to each other their goodbyes. Majin closed the door and took the package in. Alex let out a sigh, 'That went way better than planned' she though to themself.Alex had heard a voice behind them, a slightly synthetic one, high pitched, yet still human,

"Eheh! Looks like somebody managed to get along with someone with the power of Love Love sa-" "Sayu?! You were here the whole time?!" The voice was from a pastel mermaid, who went by the name 'Sayu'. Her bright cyan eyes gleamed "Haha! Yep!" "I WAS HERE TOO, TOO, UEE HEE HEE!" A jester chimed in playfuly, with lavender purple skin, black jester makeup, a violet and black jester outfit with yellowish-limeish accents and shoes, along with a Black and violet jester hat with bells on the tips, and piercing glowing yellow eyes. The jester had a tail the shape of a 'J', and a sharp toothed smile, "JEVIL?! YOU WERE IN ON THIS TOO?!"

"Seems like they weren't the only ones, lassie" A voice added onto the conversation. The voice cane from a small yellow bird, about 3 feet tall, who wore a conductor's hat and suit, with yellow feathers, but no visible eyes. "Mr.Conductor you were in- Ok, that's it everyone out!" Alex shouted surprisingly loud yet sassy. Everyone else left the room, with Alex being the only one left. She looked at the list, "Time to get groceries and the vase. The best store is Jerry's Stop n' Shop" she quoted, and went out back to her Florizona 1965 and drove off.
