Benjamin felt numb, dragging his tired feet against the grass as his anxiety was to the roof. When Pico said he'd take him somewhere he'd like, he never knew it'd be deep dark into a forest he's never seen in his life before?!
Their only source of light being Pico's flashlight from his phone as their hands still stayed close. Locked against one another as neither one of them dared to let go this entire time since he dragged him away from the terrifying crowd of loud people with it's fireworks that were setting his anxiety off. Still holding onto his hot coco as it wasn't so warm anymore from the long cold walk. Though, the cold really didn't bother him.
He felt horrible, guilty really that Pico had to take him away from the event like this. But, he couldn't control it. Loud noises set him off as it'd shut him down almost completely at times. Banging, yelling, anything.
He became like this ever since his father started to punish him with burnt marks. He'd constantly yell at him for being a ''sissy'' or something in the lines of those..
''Uhm- Pico..'' Whined Benjamin as his walking became slower, knowing he shouldn't complain but his feet were aching from the long walk from the city, and then deep in a suspicious forest. Though, he trusted Pico as he just was scared with their surroundings was all.
''Tired?'' The spray painter replied to his words as they sounded exhausted with his tone of voice. Keeping his pace as he'd walk in front of the burnt out artist.
''S- sorry. But, yeah..'' Responded Benjamin who admitted to being insanely tired. Though, he still was curious on where the two were heading though. Pico not even once explained where he was taking him to when leaving the packed event for the Holiday.
''Sorry about that,'' He said with a huffing chuckle.
''but, I know once we get there, you'll love this area. I loved it too.''
Benjamin raised an eyebrow as his lips formed a small 'o' from being confused.
Should we asked where the two were even going..? I mean, he sounded as if he wanted for it to be a surprise. But, the dark forest ahead was making his heart shake. Being able to hear it's constant thumps against his bruised chest as his legs shook. Not just from being tired, but also from fear.
Before he could speak what was on his mind, Benjamin begun to hear fainted rushing water. Looking up ahead, he was able to picture out a lake but, being too far to see it's important details.
While approaching closer and closer, Benjamin's ocean blue eyes soon lit up like the star-y night sky. Soon realizing their surroundings as that fear that hung onto him soon disappeared within seconds.
