AUTHOR'S POV

Fukiage was contemplating his life, while seated at the cafeteria table. It was midday but still too early for him to deal with F/n's playful attitude. After making a bet with the school's infamous playgirl, he began to regret ever being acquainted with her.

"F/n, can you settle down? You're attracting attention."

"As long as I respect the bet, I can do what I want, Jingo-kun."

Fukiage sighed but refrained from cussing her out. It wasn't like him to say such things even if he was mad. But what bet would warrant so much aggravation from him and so much amusement for her? A little game she proposed a few days ago after finding interest in the volleyball player.

"If I can make you blush three times by the end of the week, you have to go on a date with me."

"I'll agree on one condition. You're not allowed to kiss me."

"Alright, I'll agree. Get ready to be mine, Jingo-kun."

Jingo kept to himself and quietly ate his lunch while F/n shamelessly flirted with him, all in the company of Obara and Sakunami. Eventually, he couldn't focus on the food or ignore F/n's sultry voice in his ear. His body moved before his mind could think and he dragged F/n out of the cafeteria with him. She followed without protest, wondering if she had finally gotten to him. She was surprised when he flipped her around, back against a wall. Although her five inches below him would make him intimidating in stature, her boisterous personality easily made up for it.

"Don't you think you've done enough?" he asked seriously.

"You know, I quite like this position," she answered, blatantly ignoring his question. "Come a little closer so we can share heat."

Jingo sighed, stepping back. "At least let me enjoy my lunch in peace."

"If that is what you want," F/n replied with a wink. "I'll see you later, Jin."

Finally, Fukiage could breathe. He returned to his seat and enjoyed his lunch. As annoying as she was, he was thankful she always respected his boundaries. Maybe that was the reason he'd tolerated her so far.

TIME SKIP

It was almost the end of the week. F/n was running low on time and options to get Fukiage to crumble. Sadly for her, he was resistant to all her approaches. The textbook solution wasn't the answer. She had one more plan up her sleeve but would he agree to it?

Hopefully, she thought, walking towards his classroom. She opened the door and saw him talking to a few friends.

"Jingo, mind talking for a minute?"

His eyes glanced her way and an unmistakable roll of his eyes was noticed. F/n kept her flirty smile on even when his expression hurt her.

"Please, Jingo-kun? One minute is all I need.
Promise."

"Yeah, Jingo-kun, go on," his classmate teased him.
