While the joke was at her expense, Isabella couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Actually I have. In the tale, she haunts the man who scorned her and terrorizes him for the rest of eternity. Wouldn't want that, would you?" Thomas showed one of those quick fleeting smiles as he poured his own drink before refilling hers. "Can't say I do." It would be too weird for her to burst out and randomly ask the man if he believed her, so she decided to just go along with it. Pretend as if their falling out didn't happen and it was just another regular day.

"Tommy."

The duo both looked towards the woman as she situated herself behind the bar. "Grace." The man nodded in greeting and Isabella looked between the two. Against her own will she smiled in greeting at Grace. "Hey, Grace." Said woman didn't even spare her a glance as she faux-busied herself with cleaning. "Miss Avery."

The tension was suffocating but Isabella refused to fall into it. These days have been really shit and she refused to wade around in the cesspool of her mind for any longer. Raising her shoulders up in a shrug she tossed back the drink that Thomas poured for her. "Think you can hold it this time?"

"Not a chance." Speaking through a laugh, she watched as her cup was filled once more. "This is my last one." Thomas looked at her curiously, raising her eyebrow. "Why is that?"

Pretending as if she held the secret to life, she shrugged her shoulders with a grin. "Who knows, Thomas Shelby." The man made no move to press for more as he finished the contents of his glass. While he looked towards the snug, Isabella took the time to admire his side profile. She could have swore if she ran her finger over his cheekbone it would come back to her with a small slice on the pad. Acting without thinking, she reached out to touch his cheek.

He stilled at the sudden physical contact but he made no move to push her hand away so she continued. Fingers moving upwards to brush against his earlobe. It seemed as soon as he was getting used to the warmth of her hand she pulled away. "Hm? It didn't happen."

"What?"

There was that smile again that made his heart pulse. Showing him her hand she wiggled her fingers. "Your cheekbones are so sharp, I wanted to see if they would cut my finger." As he scoffed and rolled his eyes, giggles poured from the woman. "Drunk already eh?" The question only made her continue with her humor.

Grace's teeth ground together as she continued to glance at the two from the corner of her eye. Anyone could see that she was in a rancid mood, except for Thomas Shelby who didn't even spare her a glance. Instead he seemed enthralled by the woman he believed crossed him.

"Let's go."

Isabella sat up straight as she shot off the random demand. "Where?" The said woman blinked as she just stared at Thomas, surprised that he humored her this far. Humming in thought she picked up his hat off the bar. "Anywhere." Reaching out he took his hat from her and she was about to complain until he set it on her head. "C'mon then."
