I was walking down the street,
Pep in my step and joy in my feet,
When I saw a stranger who looked just like you!

I thought "God it's been awhile,"
Same tendrils of hair,
Fluffing up in the bright cherry pop air.
Then they spoke and,
Flowers blooming in the oxygen where I stand,
Cool cream swirls around my cherry puff heart,
Cherry puff voice whole and warm, making my heart start.
I was waltzing, wandering past,
Before I saw the stranger that looked just like you sailing across the street full mast,
Cars were zooming,
Lights were shaking but nothing was moving.
Because the stranger I saw looked just like you,
Laughed just like you,
Used to be you,
But now they just make me blue.
I wonder if they still cry the same too.
