Chapter Nineteen

this is the final episode of season 2... <3

Grace and Caroline are at the storage unit. Care is teaching Grace how she prints the money. Grace is sitting and watching her mom and dad work on this and she is fascinated, having no idea Leslie Peterson, Boomer, is alive.

"This is so cool!" Grace gushes. "Are you gonna teach my brother, too?"

"When he's old enough," Caroline replies. "If Rio allows it."

"He will," Alex claims. "He needs someone to pas the empire too, since mine goes to Emanuel, yours goes to Gracie."

"Rio's will go to Oscar," Grace says.

"Exactly," Alexander replies to his daughter.

"Rio's up to something with Beth," Caroline claims. "I don't know what."

"Me either," Alex replies. "It scares me when he gets secretive. He can be more dangerous than me if he wants to be."

Caroline sighs. "And that's bad."

"Shut the hell up," Alex jokes and Grace giggles.

Grace wishes her parents were still together sometimes but she's happy her mom is happy with Rio and Alex has been making himself busy with the gang, Grace, or Emanuel. She watches as her mom and dad joke around while making funny money. She can't wait until she can finally make it. She is so excited for it.

"Gracie, come here," Alex says. "Put a mask on and you can help me get the money out of the printer."

Grace obeys immediately and she runs over. Caroline smiles at Alex and Grace, and they get back to work on the funny money.

Alex runs into the apartment with the gang's doctor and Mick and he sees Rio. Shot. Beth shot him three times.

"Whatever you fucking do, do not tell Caroline," Alex demands. "She miscarried our son this far along before. She cannot know Chris has been shot."

"Agreed," Mick says as the doctor runs to Rio's side to try saving him.

"Come on, man," Alex pleads. "Coke on, brother."

Mick touches his shoulder as they watch Doctor Edgar Chamberlain, the gang doctor,  works on Rio with the surgical equipment he brought. He knows Rio can't go to the hospital because everyone knows his record, and if he goes to the hospital, Caroline finds out and risks losing Oscar.

"Does Spook know?"

"I sent him to Caroline's to be sure she and the kids are safe," Mick replies to Alexander. "I called Eddy and told him to pop by and check on them. Extra protection."

"Lizzie won't shoot Caroline, especially not while she's pregnant."

"It's not that bitch I'm worried about shooting Caroline," Mick says. "It's everyone else, Rio's enemies. With him out of the game for a bit..."

Alex's face falls. "Care and the kids are in danger."

Mick nods and they watch helplessly as Rio's life gets saved.
