Aliyah may be mean and bitchy, but it didn't mean that she was dumb.

Having been in the top 10 of her class since the lower grade, she knew her father would not tolerate anything below above average.

This time though, she had let her guard down and the repercussions of her carelessness stared at her mockingly.

"9/30?" She snapped her head to look at the person behind her and rolled her eyes at Rachel, the third person of their trio, whom she never really liked, but hung around with because she needed someone to boss around. And Rachel, the pretty but superficial airhead that she is, was the perfect person for that.

"How did you get 9/30" Rachel asked not believing her friend's score. They had a further maths test that morning and the score sheets were already in before break.

She failed woefully.

"I can't believe this!" Aliyah spat. Rachel jerked away from her friend before reaching out to console her, but the fair girl stood up and stomped towards his office, a good distance away from their class block.

She was surprised to meet Mr Ola clustered by a group of students at his desk- most of which were females- as he explained the solution to the hardest question of the test that no one had got right.

Aliyah rolled her eyes when she saw Confidence and a bunch of other B girls flapping their scanty lashes at the handsome corp member. They weren't even further maths students.

She waited till he was done with his session and all the students had left before making her intentions known.

"What do you need a remark for?" He quizzed the pouting girl.

"Uncle please na, I can't score this low on the test na, it's impossible" she whined.

Perhaps if she had read, she wouldn't have banged so hard. Rather, she spent her entire weekend sexting her new fling a.k.a Damien. It wasn't enough that she had finally ruined his and Ifechi's relationship, she wanted more.  She wanted to make him obsessed over her and infuriate Ifechi all the more.

So she spent her Saturday and Sunday feeding her new boyfriend with seductive pics of herself. No, it wasn't her nudes! She certainly wasn't stupid. Just a couple selfies of herself in provocative dresses that she was sure would give him dreams.

Look where that got her.

"You had three whole days to read. Three days! And I even gave areas of concentration, you had no reason to fail" Mr Ola said sternly after she'd boldly requested to retake the test.

"But sir...."

"No buts, I don't have time for this,  please leave my office" he said with a tone of finality.

She was supposed to keep pleading, but something about his tune irked her and she felt oddly embarrassed. So she hissed instead and walked out of the office, making sure to bang the door on her way out.

She came across two of the class nerds, and a third person she didn't fancy seeing one bit. They were talking about their marks.

So she was looking for how to get at least half of the total scores while Ifechi was complaining of her 27/30.

That was three times her freaking score!!

Aliyah hissed and walked straight ahead. Some students steered clear of her path for fear of provoking the already fuming girl. She bumped into someone on her way to the girl's bathroom where she was going to cry without anyone seeing her.

"Are you blind!" She got ready to snap at whoever it was without looking first.

"Babes chill na" the person said laughing.  She came face to face with the owner of the voice and hissed loudly when she met Ayomide a.k.a Ayashawo, one of the biggest freegivers in the school.
