Y/N POV

Timeskip 2 days

We finally reached Mount Fujikasane, where the final selection took place. When we reached the foot of the mountain, Shinjuro-san had alread return to his home, after a little more walking we reached the top of the mountain, where it was covered with a lot of wisteria cards, for some reason I felt again. uncomfortable. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that I would go sightseeing first and leave that later, when I looked around hoping to find Shinobu or Kanae, there were a few people who caught my attention. I mean, there are 2 friends having a good time talking to each other, one is wearing a green haori shirt and has a scar on his mouth, the other is wearing a dark red haori shirt, and there are one more person with white hair, big body and kept mumbling something about flamboyant. While I was searching, suddenly Kyojuro pointed his finger in one direction

Kyojuro: Hey, that person over there looks familiar, right?

When I looked in the direction his hand was pointing I saw a familiar figure, a boy surrounded by a snake, I immediately recognized who it was.

Y/N: OI IGURO, OI!

Immediately he turned towards me and recognized us

Iguro: Y/N!, KYOJURO!

When he was walking over to our place, Kyojuro hugged Iguro with a bone broken hug

Kyojuro: What a reunion Iguro, how are you these days?

Iguro: Ow Ow

Y/N: Hey Kyojuro, I think you should let him go, before you kill him

Only now did Kyojuro realize that he was using too much force

Kyojuro: Sorry, I'm sorry I miss you, how are you these days?

Iguro: It's okay, nothing much has changed

Y/N: I heard you were sent to the place of the person who taught the Water breathing, right? So you must be using the breath of water right?

Iguro: The first part of the question is correct, the second part is not, I don't use the breath of water

Kyjuro: So what breath do you use?

Iguro: I created a new breath of Snake breathing

Iguro said that in a proud tone, while Kyjuro and I were trying to process the information we just heard.

Kyojuro: Snake.....

Y/N: ...breathing?

Iguro: Yeah, I named it after Kaburamaru (Iguro's pet snake)

Y/N: Great, you can make a breath yourself

Iguro: Of course (smug smile)

Then suddenly there was the voice of two children, one with black hair and one with white hair, their faces looked a lot like Kagaya's.

Black-haired/White-haired kid: Thanks for being here today, to the final selection of the Demon Slayer

White-haired child: These demons imprisoned at Mount Fujikasane were captured alive by the swordsmen of the demon slaying corps and couldn't get out

Black-haired child: That's because the wisteria, hated by demons, blooms all year round from the foot of the mountain to the middle of the mountainside.

Y.N:  Demons hates wisteria, so is my hating wisteria related or just a common allergy, but I can't be a demon right? If I were a demon, I would have been burned by the sunlight a long time ago, but now that I can't be distracted by such things, I can ask Shinjuro-san after returning, my priority now is get out of here alive

Black-haired kid: You have to survive here for 7 days to pass the final selection test

Black-haired child/White-haired child: Then, have a safe journey

And so the final selection began, me, Kyojuro and Iguro decided to separate and promised to meet again on the 7th day

3rd Person POV

While I was walking in the forest, thinking about what to eat tomorrow, suddenly a demon shouted

Demon: Hey brat, you trespassed on my territory, to punish you I will make you my dinner

Y/N: Really? is it stupid or something? At least make a surprise attack or something like that  Demon: Hahaha you're so scared that you're immobile right? Hahahaha. What a bunch of...

Y/N : Sun Breathing-Solar Heat Haze

Y/N dash forward and spins a circle cutting off the demon's head before it says its next sentence

Y/N: Tch, annoying, can't do anything, that demon on the top of that mountain is even harder to deal with

It's been 5 days and nothing much has happened, he has killed 19 demons without many scratches and also saved quite a few people. Right now he's still walking around and looking for some more demons to kill and a place to sleep in the morning

Y/N: I wonder how everyone is now, I wonder if they're still alive, shouldn't think like that, have to have faith in them

Then he suddenly tripped on something

Y/N: What is this (checking) ....so this is...a dead body and...it wearing a green haori, so this is that boy right? I don't know if his friend is still alive, I'd better keep it so that if he's still alive, I'll give it to him.

Just when I was about to leave, a strange voice in my head spoke up

???: Eat it

Y/N: Huh?

???:Eat the corpse

Y/N : No why am I ARGHHH

Suddenly a strange appetite ran through my body, suddenly I found that corpse strangely delicious, my mind suddenly went blank, there was only one thought of wanting to eat that corpse.

Y/N : What the hell-ARRGHH-what

???: Now, why are you resisting, just surrender and take a bite, it won't hurt anyone

Y/N : No-ARRRGHH-I won't eat it-I'm-Human-ARRGGH

 ???: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, there's no resist, after all, you are weak

Y/N: Weak? 

???: Because you're weak, they died

Y/N: Who are they? What are you talking about?

???: You will understand, soon
