Her condition seemed very serious , as an oxygen mask was strapped to her face , and beside her a black screen that displayed her vital signs . From her state , she looked like she was barely clinging to life . Outside the room , a man and a woman were talking , the woman looked anxious , but the man seemed more decisive .
" you do want our daughter's life to be saved , don't you ?! " the man yelled at the woman before him
" she's your daughter ! " the woman replied " if we go through with this , she will ... ! "
" there is no other way ... in her frail state , she wouldn't age past 13 "
" what if I took her place ?! " the woman asked anxiously , her question was the first thing to shake the man's resolve

The members of SEES looked at Alina worriedly , while Naoto was glaring daggers at her . As for Cid , he kept his eyes downward , as if something else was bothering him .
" so ... you must be Alina Nanjo-san " Naoto said doubtfully
" and you're Naoto Shirogane , I never had the chance to thank you for earlier " Alina smiled back " you helped my friends look for my pocket watch , right ? Thank you so much "
