Tadashi walked into his office furiously, he was pacing back and forth in the hall , eventually his anger would overcome him and he would throw a chair on the ground or fling a table , his fury drove him to scatter the papers on his desk and slam his laptop on the ground. When his anger subsided, he would look out the window at the city below him , he had been doing that ever since the apparent success of Project RES , it used to bring him a feeling of dominance and control . Now , the city below him felt so massive and imposing, like it could swallow him whole. He was scared , like he had never been scared before. Eventually he looked back at his office , and amidst the mess he saw one black butterfly facing him . Immediately , he began feeling a swell of anger rising up within him , and he found himself screaming at the butterfly in fury .
" you betrayed me ! This wasn't what you promised, Nyarlathotep ! " he growled , he stopped and looked at the butterfly with widely open furious eyes , like it was speaking to him . Then he suddenly screamed back at it " don't you dare touch my daughter ! Don't you dare touch Nanami ! Lay one finger on her , and I'll kill you ! " . He followed up on his threat by lunging at the butterfly, only it faded away before he could tackle it , leaving him to stumble and fall on the ground , before quickly standing back up again , screaming at nothing. He was going insane

The members of SEES arrived with Alice , who had her broken arm tied in a cast , and the other Persona users at the Lunar Nation headquarters once again , they were worried about further resistance from the enemy, but the entrance was much less well guarded than before. In fact , the first floor of the building was empty and the power was out for most of it , which signaled to them that something was amiss . They tried to reach their goal as quickly as possible before the Lunar Nation could set a trap for them , but the elevator wasn't working, so they had to settle for the stairs . Junpei as well as Fuuka and Yukari despaired at the idea of having to climb the whole building, but Minato was more worried that the Lunar Nation deliberately did that to force them to take the long way around.
" we're never gonna make it like this ! " Masao supported himself against the railing of the stairs and ranted impatiently
" just a little more ... " Naoya looked up at the continuously spiraling staircase , before looking back at the twins " at the 5th floor , the way elevators work changes . If we're lucky , they should be still functional ! "
" The way the elevators ... ? What do you mean ? "
