chapter 11 - home

- third pov -

"hey, are you okay?" mi jin asked joon yeong with her hand on his shoulder. he's on the ground, silent. "damn it! hey!"

cheong san looked behind him to see joon yeong bitten and cannot say anything. "what do we do?" said y/n panicking.

"shit. i shouldn't have said i'd take responsibility." and with that he took a moment to quickly climb outside the carts. "hey! what are you doing?" mi jin yelled at him. "no!" y/n tried stopping him but it isn't working.

the others stopped what they're doing to pull joon yeong back inside.

he fell outside the carts while the zombies are hanging over him. he pushes all off the zombies on the carts "get off, fuckers!" he took one of the cart right in front of mi jin and y/n "push!" still getting bitten. "hurry!push!" his nose started bleeding.

everyone is pushing while sobbing. a scream of pain have started escaping from his mouth, making y/n tear up while pushing the cart with all the energy she have left.

"let's go! let's go home!"

the sentence that just came out of his lips gives y/n chills. that's the only thing they want right now. home.

"let's go home!" he repeated himself before he got knocked off. but without giving up, he got up to help his friends push the carts so that they could escape and go home. but without him this time.

"a little more!" he continued to push. "just a little more!" sobbing from the pain he's feeling. "joon yeong!" mi jin grabbed his hand.

he couldn't take it anymore. "no! no!" mi jin cried out. making it worse for y/n. his hand on mi jin's grip loosen until she completely lost her hold.

he fell down. more zombies are tearing him up. mi jin kicks the cart as a sign of losing him. "push! push harder!" spoke su hyeok. it felt harder to push for y/n after all the things she just saw. but the carts are moving.

mi jin move over to the other side of the cart to have a view on joon yeong. seeing him infected and turning into one of them. this made mi jin cried out a little harder, taking y/n's attention.

she looked at their way to see cheong san holding back his baseball bat at the sight of infected joon yeong, reaching his hand to him.

- other pov -

a man are found running in the woods while carrying a backpack.

he found metal fences with a door and a sign on it. 'WARNING : NO TRESPASSING PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNED BY THE SCHOOL'

he saw the door in the lock when he backs up and kick the door hard breaking the lock. he began running in.

soon, he found an unfinished building owned by the school. he got in just to meet some zombies inside. he grabbed a brick and smash it onto them. he pull down the shelf behind him making the zombies fell.

some more came from beside him, unpurposely knocked them both down to the stairs filled with barrels.

he then gets up and smashes the zombie that knocked him down to a wall. he use this opportunity to ran outside the building.

- third pov -

the kids are still pushing. they are a couple of blocks away from the door leading outside. y/n climbed a little to a cart and stabs every zombies in front, with the anger and sorrow on her. she teared down a lot of zombies, "push!" y/n shouts.

with a couple of pushes, they reached the wall and the door is right in front of them. dae su began untying the rope that's tied to form the circle.

"it's untied! push!" they all pushed the carts away from the door, making a way to the exit. su hyeok rapidly open the door but it's locked. on jo came to help him. "it won't open!" he shouts at his friends. "what do you mean?"

"the door won't open!" she replied at top volume. "move away!" su hyeok hits the door knob with the baseball bat he's been holding the whole time. it did nothing. "ha ri! move!" wu jin pushes the zombies back with a sport tool from the carts.

mi jin is climbing to the carts, hitting some zombies. "get lost, assholes! get lost!" she's screaming desperately, feeling rage and guilt from losing joon yeong.

y/n quickly pull mi jin back down to stop her from what she's doing. holding her back.

the cart beside the exit door started to slip off its rope. making a way for the zombies to barge in but dae su pushes away the untied cart and pulling the cart beside to close the gap.

another cart in front of nam ra untied itself. she pulled together both the carts so the zombies won't come in.

she just realized that she sticks out her hand but the zombies wasn't bitting. that's when she started to know that she's one of them in a "human form".

"hurry up!" they couln't hold anymore longer and the door is still locked. "it won't open! it must be locked from the outside." su hyeok replied to hyo ryung before seeing nam ra struggling on holding the cart together. "shit."
he approached her to help.

on jo is still trying. she smashes her whole body a couple of times just to open the door. the poor girl backs up to smash her body one more time before the door opened. this catches y/n and some of the others' attentions.

revealing a figure, she's dying to meet.

it was her father.

a/n here is another chapter, i think it would be too long if i continue it and this is probably a perfect scene to end a chapter. i also focused a little more on povs outside y/n and mi jin, so i hope you like this. still, votes are so appreciated and i'll see you on the next chapter!
