I was sitting in Central Park with a warm coffee in my hands. I spent the whole day walking around the city and I still had no idea how I was getting home without a car.  A taxi out of the city would be too expensive, even for what I carry in my purse. Another side of me was only stalling around because I wanted to call Harry.
And surprise, surprise, I did. I was bored of staring at the ducks.
Harry agreed to meet me outside his apartment building and we'd go somewhere.

"Pretty boujee." I said, looking up at the building.

"Coming from you? That's something." Harry said whilst running down the steps.

"Hi." I grinned.

"Hi." He smiled back.

"So.. where to?" I questioned.

"Ah, yes." Harry nodded. "I was thinking just some local corner cafe?"

"Sure, lead the way."

We walked for about 10 minutes before we arrived. We talked about basic stuff, making small talk. But once we took our seats, we began getting deeper again.

"How did you manage to escape from Poppy?" I said with a smirk.

"She went out with some friends. It's not like she'd ever notice if I was gone anyways if she was there."

"Dang." I raised an eyebrow.

"So.. how was Australia." Harry asked. For some reason a shiver went down my spine when he said that. My head shot up from the piece of gum on the floor I was staring at.

"It was.. nice. I was happy to spend time with Leo."

"Ah." He nodded. "I can't believe me saying I loved you was so bad you had to flee the country." He laughed, avoiding looking at me.

Suddenly, I became way too serious for my liking. "It's good that you can make a joke out of that." I rolled my eyes.

"But why would you? You said it back, you didn't have to run."

"I didn't run because of you." I slammed my coffee down on the table, spilling it a bit. "I ran from my parents. I wasn't going to be forced into a marriage at such a young age, even if it was with you."

"I hate how we left things." He said.

"Me too." I replied whilst staying fixated to the ground.
"I'm sorry I didn't choose you."

"Huh?" He said. "What do you mean 'choose you'"

"That I ran instead of just properly admitting to how I felt."

Harry took a moment to reply. "I guess it gave me time to realize that we were young, we didn't know what we were saying."

"Harry?" I spoke quietly.

"Mhm?"

"Do you think if I stayed.. things would've turned out differently between us?"
