Elizabeth pov 

As I was taking a sip of my coffee I heard someone slide into the seat in front of me 

Ready to politely tell this person off I proceeded to shut my book over my hand and looked up but I was to stunned to speak 

A woman with eyes like evergreens deep in the forest at night was staring back at me, her eyes raking down my figure just as I did with hers. Her black crop top squeezed her chest like a small glove doing so on a big hand. I couldn't see under the table so I focused back on her gorgeous face. She wore a crooked smile, her teeth white and straight with a medium sized gap in the middle, her olive skin flawless. Around her eyes was dark eye shadow that made those eyes pop out.

Wow...

"Hi beautiful I couldn't help but notice you when I walked in here. Your gorgeousness just captured my attention" She said, grinning widely. Her brunette hair fell over her shoulder in waves.

My chocolate skin luckily covered up the fact that my skin heated up at her nice words

"Oh I hope you don't mind me sitting here.." she added after I hadn't said anything 

All my plans from earlier to tell this unknown person off flew out the window 

"Y-you're fine" I stuttered

"Wow straight forward i see, well thank you" she chuckled 

I felt my body going even hotter 

Embarrassing 

"I didn't-"

"So i'm ugly?" she asked in a serious voice 

"Wha..." this woman was twisting up my words like hell

She laughed, "I'm just teasing you"

I inaudibly let out a breath of relief 

"What's your name?" i curiously asked 

"Lavender, Lavender Carson. Yours? Or i could just continue to call you beautiful" she smiled

I chuckled, "My name is Elizabeth, Elizabeth Ferguson"

"Can I have your number?"

Shocked at her straightforwardness I just stared at her before snapping out of it 

"To be friends, yes. I'm married" I held up my hand to show the rose gold diamond ring

I could see the disappointment flash in her eyes before they brightened up

"Okay then"

We exchanged numbers

I opened the door of my apartment and shut it with a sigh 

After meeting Lavender my time at the coffee shop became more interesting. We exchanged information about each other and overall it was such a good time 

She's funny 

I haven't smiled as much as I did in a long time 

Just thinking about it had me smiling again while taking off the shoes that I had on all day 

I could really use a foot massage right about now after being on my feet for hours 

"Hello?" i called out but got no response back 

I assumed he was sleeping so I went to the kitchen to start dinner for when he wakes up

Once I was done cooking dinner I set our plates at the table and went to our shared bedroom

My husband was laying in bed with his feet kicked up on top of one another. He had on his gaming head phones on, boxers and no shirt 

I walked in front of the game he was playing and instead of being happy to see me he just glared 

He took off the headsets with a annoyed look plastered on his shaved face 

"What?" he asked

"Dinner's ready" I muttered 

He grumbled something under his breath before getting up off the bed
