lavender pov

i stood in front of my apartment door wondering if i should go inside

what if she wasnt done yet?

not that i would mind seeing- stop you perv

i face palmed before letting out a breath and turning key to the left then to the right

the top lock clicked and i put my keys in my back pocket

i leaned down and grabbed the grocery bags from the floor

i opened the door and i heard... music?

i could hear elizabeth faintly singing along to the song

i walked further into the house and smelled tacos

i dropped the groceries in the living room and walked into the kitchen

she was now humming instead

"hey" i announced my presences

she didnt jump so either she was a person that didnt flinch or she already knew i came in

she turned down the stove and faced me

"hey lavender!" she exclaimed and gave me a quick hug

she was literally glowing. smiling widely as she starred at me

"uh hey" i awkwardly said, "i take it- it um- went well?"

she shyly looked away for a second. "better than well"

my cheeks reddened at the thoughts entering my head

"oh g-good"

"i haven't felt a cramp in nearly two hours" she shared and turned back to the food

"wow- um alright- i... i have to go finish getting the groceries"

gosh it was so awkward, i was literally suffering. why did it have to be awkward? we're adults....

once i finished bringing the groceries in she was done setting our plates

i left the groceries in the living room making a note to put them up before bed

we sat the table and started eating in silence

deciding to break the quietness i asked about work

"when do you go back?" i asked and sipped my water

"friday" it was only monday so i had a good amount of time with her which was nice. "how come you never go to work? i get you own the place but dont you have to check to make sure things are going good?"

"i do sometimes but i trust my workers enough to make sure they dont kill my babies"

she chuckled

the conversations just started to flow then. things luckily weren't really awkward anymore which was good

we didnt talk about her doing... that... anymore but i couldnt stop thinking about it
