My eyes flutter open at around five in the morning. My head lays lightly on Justin's chest, and I listen to his soft, even breaths. Breathing in his sent, I get engulfed in spearmint. I don't know why I love it so much but I do.

Suddenly, remembering what today is, I get up as quietly as I could, trying my hardest not to wake him. Thankfully, because Maggy worked the crap out of him yesterday, he stayed sound asleep.

Successfully closing the door behind me, I jog down the hall and into moms room. She jumps out of bed in shock and I just give her a wave as I jog into her closet and grab Justin's present.

"Gina! It's five in the morning!" Mom whisper yells.

"Is it?" I ask, totally unaware. "Sorry, you can go back to sleep now."

"No need, I'm already up. I'll go get started on breakfast considering you can't cook."

She's right. I can make simple things like eggs and grilled cheese, but if I have to do any more than that I will burn the house down. I smile, "Great! I'll help out as much as I can!"

Justin comes downstairs when mom and I were done cooking and had created a plate that looked similar to mine the other day. Only with this one, I tried to make cool shapes out of the pancakes but just ended up with blobs. "Happy Birthday!" I cheer with a big smile on my face, handing him his plate.

"Thanks guys!" he yawns and rubs his eyes.

I laugh, "How hard did she really make you work?" I ask rhetorically.

He shakes his head, "She's torturous!"

Soon, we were all stuffed with delicious food and chatting about the upcoming show. How mom suddenly got a text from Maggy, saying that she must be there on the 14th. "Something about needing a vet handy there for the horses..." Mom rambles on. I keep my head down and nod at appropriate points, trying my very hardest not to tell her exactly why Maggy suddenly needs her.

Glancing at her watch, suddenly remembering she had a job, she gets up abruptly. "Gotta go." She grabs her bag, "Happy Birthday Justin!" She says right before she steps out the door.

Turning to him, I ask, "What do you wanna do Birthday man?"

Leaning back, he collapses on the couch, "Sleep."

"Too bad" I grab his hand and pull him up, "I've got something for you." I dance over excitedly to one of the kitchen draws and pull out his purple wrapped present. "Here ya go!" My smile turns into a nerves grin and he unwraps the purple paper.

I always hated when people would open gifts infront of me, or when I have to open a gift infront of them. It always bothered me to have to fake a reaction if you didn't like it, or even worse, watch them attempt to fake a surprised reaction. That always scared me even though it only ever happened to me once when I was about five and I gave my first crush my cherry flavored lip smacker. Let's just say that things didn't work out.

But right as the box showed itself I heard a silent gasp escape his mouth.

It's a simple, all white box. But that's not what he gasped at. It's when he saw that right on the top of the box, right smack in the middle, was Longines engraved into it.

Slowly, as if he beleived it was a joke, he opened the white box to reveal a HydroConquest Sport watch. Taking it out, he gasped once again. This was no fake reaction. He actually liked it.

My smile came back and I asked the obvious question. "You like?"

"Like? Gina I love this!" I laugh as he puts on the stainless steal, waterproof watch with a navy blue face and dial. "Thank you so much! You know you didn't have to do this!" Excitment travels throughout his whole face. "Thank you!" he says again as he flashes his new watch on his wrist.
