"Okay Gina, start to leg yield him around the ring a couple of times." Justin says once I've finished warming up.

It's only the second day of these new people being here, I feel better, but there's no way in hell that I'm jumping.

Two people already complained about staying to late and being too tired, so they stayed home. Maggy somehow found two new people that wanted to come in the middle of the night to watch me have a panic attack. Those people, too, look like they are about to pass out at any second. I didn't even bother to ask them there names or say hi. I know, I'm a bitch sometimes but I can't care.

Sam though, still leans forward and watches me intently. A chill runs up my spine. I know she won't write anything without my permission but it still bothers me that she could. And it could be published in the matter of minutes.

I start moving Harry over, keeping him steady and not letting his butt drag behind as I push him back to the wall. I know Justin is going to have me do that weird bending thing again so I want to be prepared. But I don't know how to get prepared for that.

After I do a couple leg yields going in both directions Justin asks me to walk and do the bending thing.

Shocker.

It takes Harry a second to remember what I'm asking him but once he does, he immediately moves off my leg in a wide 360. Then Justin tells me to do it going the opposite way. Again, Harry takes a second then remembers.

"Good!" Justin says "Now try it at a trot."

I pick up my trot and bend Harry's head to the left and put pressure on his left side. Harry tosses his head in frustration but quickly gives in to move in a circle going right.

"Keep doing it going right. Once he make a full circle let him trot strait for a couple steps but then pick him up and do it again."

Again, I do what Justin says but can't help but be confused on how this will help with my jumping. Harry continues bending and once he made a full circle I give him some rein and let him trot straight. Then I pick him up again and start to do the bending thing once more. How would bending him in a circle help? I guess I'll figure it out when I start jumping. If I ever start jumping.

"Okay, that's good. Walk him out." Justin says after I bend Harry both ways a couple of times. "You're getting better at it! Tomorrow we'll try it at the canter."

"Great" I say plainly. I'm not really on board with this whole bending thing. It makes no sense to do and it's hard to teach it too. Don't get me wrong, I love to do challenges with Harry or anything for that matter. But this one just seems irrelevant and useless. "How will this even help with jumping?"

He smirks "You'll see. You don't have to believe me but at least try it before you dis it"

"Fine" I say after a second. He's just doing all this bending stuff to get my mind off the people. What else could it be? He would've started it weeks ago of it were to really, actually help with my jumping.

I hop down and see the people leave. Sam hovers for a second, looking like she wants to ask something. But then reconsiders and wonders off with the others. "Come on" I say to Harry.

On the car ride home all I could think about is my plan. I'm not going be ready for it. I'll never be ready in time. My plan is going to crumble down into a million pieces and then disintegrate right in front of me.

Mom is standing at the island in the kitchen when I walk downstairs in the morning. "Morning" I smile. "I didn't know you were still here."
