Note from the author: Over the last few months, I read many stories about Wei Ying and Lan Zhan. I guess I started looking for them for a few reasons. I love the novel and enjoy the official translation. The drama left me with conflicted feelings. I loved it but also wanted more, same for donghua. I found all I wanted and more in many stories I read here. This story results from me falling into a rabbit hole with no regrets.
Changes: Wei Ying sacrificed his life force to destroy Stygian Tiger Amulet in Burial Mounds. His body was taken by Baoshan Sanren, while his soul travelled to Ghost Realm, where he met Hua Cheng. Having similar personalities, they became friends. Hua Cheng helps him to master demonic cultivation. Wei Ying is hiding his true strength after the resurrection. After bringing adult Wei Ying to the Celestial Mountain, Baoshan Sanren changed the rules and allowed her disciples to travel within the mountain vicinity for short periods. The time on the Celestial Mountain passes differently. One year in the mortal realm equals five years on the mountain and other realms. The change was Wei Ying's condition to join her sect and officially become her heir. As a result, Sanren Sect built a close relationship with the nearby village.
Lan Xichen became a chef cultivator. Wen Ning took Suibian with him after revealing the truth about core, then returned it to Wei Wuxian.
