A couple days later at school, Drew walked into class and saw Zoey. She was sitting on a desk, talking to Lia who was at the desk beside her. They both noticed Drew, and Zoey's face went a bit pale. Lia looked at her phone, trying to not get involved too much. Drew headed to the back of the class and right as he was about to sit down, Zoey dashed over and slid onto his desk

"Hi Drew..!" she smiled. He stared at her with a cold look of hatred. "Y-You um...don't get back to my calls! What, were you...too busy to care about me?!"

Drew rolled his eyes. Did Zoey seriously still think they were together?!

"Zoey, get off. my desk." Drew said. Zoey smiled, fighting back tears. "B-But you love me!" she said "I know you do! So you'll let me sit here!"

"No." Drew said "Now get off."

Zoey was about to speak again when the teacher walked in. "Zoey, please get off of Drew's desk.." he sighed with annoyance. Zoey looked down upset

"Now." the teacher said again, this time more annoyed. Zoey got off Drew's desk, and sat at her own

Drew sighed and opened his book on his desk, laying his head on it after. He felt his phone buzz in his pocket and pulled it out, revealing a message of the group chat

Liam🍅: Dude, why's Zoey all bitchy today?

Drew😑: It's a long story...I can explain later

Henry🥗: Man, you're all in English right now and I'm stuck in history. Talk about boring

Jake🍑: I'm not. I got science

Henry🥗: I'd rather do that than have to do history

Liam🍅: You guys wanna hang out later today? We can go get a sub or somethin

Henry🥗: Ohh, yeah I'm totally in

Drew😑: Sounds cool, ig. Wby Jake?

Jake🍑: Sorry guys, you'll have to go w/out me. I'm meeting up w/ the club today. Save me a sub?

Drew felt a small sinking feeling in his stomach. Why did Jake always have to bail on him like that?! What was so special about that geek club anyway?!

"Drew? Is everything okay back there?"

Drew looked up at the teacher as a few other students, including Zoey and Lia, looked back at him

"Uh....y-yeah, sorry."

"It's alright. I don't care if you're on your phone, so long as you're paying attention aswell"

"SHE WHAT?!"

Drew sighed at Henry and Liam's response to him telling them about his breakup with Zoey

"You two don't have to make a big deal out of it." Drew said, leaning back in his chair.

"Dude, that's cold.." Liam said. "Seemed like she genuinely liked you!"

"Don't. rub it in." Drew snarled. Henry stood up, and looked over the lunch room at the table Zoey was at. She was sitting with Lia and Stacey. She looked really upset. However it was also noticable that Lia seemed as though she didn't really care Zoey was upset

"Anyway." Drew said turning to Jake. "You're going to the geek club after school today?"

"Uh....well...they are my friends." Jake responded. "So are we!" Drew said, his voice being raised a bit. Jake sighed. "Come on Drew, you know I hate having to choose sides between the club and you guys.."

Drew didn't continue speaking after that and just looked at his phone. Jake looked at Henry and Liam. There was a long silence between the four boys. But after a few minutes, Drew stood up slamming his hand down on the table

"Drew?-"

Drew slung his bag over his shoulder, phone in his pocket, and walked out of the lunchroom. "Why'd he get so pissy?" Henry asked. Liam shrugged. "I'm sure it's just...all the drama with Zoey..." Jake said looking down

Drew locked himself in one of the bathroom stalls, sliding down against the door. He looked at his phone and saw Lia had added something to her Snapchat story. The only reason he had Lia's contact was because Zoey mad him add her

He opened the Snapchat app and opened Lia's story. He was shocked with what met his eyes

Lia's story showed a photo of her and Zoey in the cafeteria. Lia had her arm around Zoey, who was leaning her head on Lia's shoulder. Lia had captioned the photo:

"Helping out my bestie after some asshole broke up with her💔"

Drew slammed his phone down on the hard tile floor. He tried hard to stop himself from crying, but it was getting to be really hard. Not so much from Zoey anymore though, however she was part of the reason

The other main part of Drew being upset was the fact that Jake wasn't hanging out with him again

Jake and him had been friends for a long time. And now all of a sudden, it was like he didn't matter to Jake! Jake cared more about that stupid music club more than him!

Drew sighed and looked at his phone again. He opened Snapchat again, and went to Zoey's contact. He swiped through old messages they had sent each other on there, then went to Jake's and did the same thing

The 5 minute warning bell rang. Drew put his phone in his pocket, and stood up. He walked out of the bathroom and headed to class. As he did, his mind drifted back to his short conversation with Jake...

*Flashback*

"You're going to the geek club after school today?"
"Uh....well...they are my friends."
"So are we!"
"Come on Drew, you know I hate having to choose sides between the club and you guys.."

*End of flashback*

Drew absolutely hated it when Jake would leave him for the club. It made him angry. Jealous even. He just...he honestly wanted Jake to himself....

But who was he kidding.....

Jake would never like him that way.....

Of Zoey didn't, who's to say Jake would.....
