She Doesn't Deserve You(Drew x Jake Story) (The Music Freaks)

Jake POV

As I made my way down the hall to the music club from the cafeteria, I couldn't stop thinking about Drew and how he just was with me in the cafeteria. Why does he always get so angry when I'm hanging out with the music club?! Whether it's at school or not, he's always so angry! He treats them like they're a group of devils! I mean, I get he's upset but still!

I got to the music room and entered. "Hey guys.." I sighed as I looked around the room. I noticed we were one short today. "Where's Milly..?"

"In Mrs Jones' class, serving a detention" Luke said while busy polishing his drums. "Seriously?" I asked, a look of shock flashing across my face. "What'd she do?"

"Got in a heated argument with Lia" Hailey shrugged. "Who knows about what"

I sighed and dropped my bag by the door. Luke looked over. "Hey, are...you alright, Jake..?" He asked. "Oh, ya know, just stuff going on with Drew"

Zander groaned. "That guy is a grade A asshole." He said, looking up from the book he was reading. "He hasn't gotten over Zoey.." I sighed "But he's sorta taking his anger out on me.."

"I take it he talked smack about us again?" Zander said, now putting his book in his bag. I nodded. "Yeah, but I told him off..."

"Aww, you chose us!"

I jumped a bit and looked at the door to the club room, only to see Milly standing there. "H-Hey Milly!" I said, still slightly frazzled from the stuff with Drew and still startled from Milly startling me. "Drew's always sucked, not gonna lie" she said, closing the club door and walking in. "He's just going through stuff right now..." I said, rubbing the back of my head nervously. "I know that's no excuse, but...yeah...ya know...."

Milly nodded. "Enough about that though!" I said. "I agree!" Milly smiled. "Let's have some real fun!"

No one POV

Drew was walking home, in the rain without an umbrella. He was thoroughly soaked from the rain, and had his headphones in listening to music. He knew Jake had officially chosen the music club over him

Drew got to his house and walked in. His dad wasn't home yet, so he just dropped his bag by the door and went up to his room

Drew flopped onto his bed. His body felt numb, his eyes were stinging, and his stomach hurt so bad he thought he was gonna be sick. He couldn't handle the thought of now losing Jake too. Maybe if he called and apologized now, he could still.have a chance at fixing things. But then again, Drew....wasn't really one for apologizing. Though he... could make an exception for Jake

After dialing Jake's number on his cell phone and hearing it ring a few times, Jake answered

"Hello?"

"Jake, I'm sorry!!"

Jake was taken aback by the sound of Drew's voice. The sound of him crying. Drew began talking pretty fast, all his words slurring together into one long line of gibberish

"D-Drew, slow down..." Jake said "tell me what's wrong..."

"What's wrong is I'm a selfish asshole!" Drew said. "This is probably why Zoey cheated on me! Because I'm selfish and only care about myself!"

Jake listened to Drew ramble for about ten minutes, and then Drew just stopped and burried his face in his pillow with his phone laying beside him

"Drew..?" Jake said. "Do you want me to come over..?"

Drew hesitated, then said "Y-Yeah...that'd be nice...my dad's not home right now, so it'll just be us..."

Drew opened the front door to see Jake standing there with his backpack, and an umbrella. Jake took quick notice of how Drew was pretty soaked

"Did you....walk home in the rain..? Without an umbrella...?" Jake asked. Drew nodded. Jake walked in, and looked around. "You must be freezing.." he said to Drew, who just shrugged and said "a bit, but I'm fine"

"You should change, you'll get sick..."

"Who cares?" Drew asked. Jake felt pretty bad for Drew. He was slightly going through the five stages of grief. He'd been through denial and anger. Bargaining hadn't happened, but this was clearly the fourth stage. Depression

"Drew, do you wanna-"

"No."

Jake looked down. He then grabbed Drew's hand and brought him upstairs

They got into Drew's bedroom and Jake sat him down on the bed before going into his closet. He pulled out some clothes and placed them on the bed beside Drew. "Go take a hot shower." He said. Drew just stared at Jake like he was a moron

"Drew. I'm being serious."

Drew groaned and got up, taking the clothes with him, and heading to the bathroom. Jake sat on Drew's bed, looking around the room. He knew Drew wouldn't tell anyone about what was going on. At least not by his own choice. He knew that he wanted to deal with it on his own but he wasn't good at that. Jake pulled out his phone and saw a message from Hailey

Hailey💙: Hey, what're you up to?

Jake🎙️: At Drew's

Hailey💙: Is he still angry?

Jake🎙️: Yeah...but I think he'll be okay...hopefully

Jake was watching Netflix when Drew walked back in from the shower. "You feel better now?" Jake asked. Drew shrugged. "I guess."

Drew sat beside Jake on the bed. Jake had been meaning to ask Drew about something

"Hey Drew..?"

Drew looked at Jake. Jake sighed then said "are you really still mad at me for joining the music club..?"

Drew sighed. "Why do you ask."

"Well..." Jake said. "I'm not tryna upset you more than you already are, but...it just seems like you're jealous..."

Drew went silent. He was jealous. Jake always loved hanging out with the music club, and it was starting to seem like he didn't enjoy hanging out with his friends anymore

Drew's silence answered Jake's question, and Jake sighed. "Drew, just because I hang out with the music club a lot, that does not mean I don't wanna be friends with you..."

Drew rolled his eyes, shook his head, them looked away while crossing his arms. Jake stared at him for a bit, both of them silent

"You mad at me I take it..?" Jake asked. Drew sighed and layed back. "No."

Before Jake could speak again, Drew said "you're right...I am jealous..."

"Is..there a specific reason for it..?" Jake asked

Drew went silent again. It's like Jake knew he liked him, and was trying to get him to admit it

"No." Drew lied, and Jake looked down. "Well, you don't need to be." Jake said "I'm still your friend.."

Drew nodded and Jake layed down beside him. Drew had been keeping his crush on Jake a secret for a while, and there was no way he was telling him any time soon

"You okay now..?" Jake asked, and Drew nodded. "Okay..cause if something's wrong, you can-"

"I'm okay, Jake...really..."

Anyway, in case you guys haven't seen, I've started a Henriam book! (Liam x Henry). I was wondering, would you guys wanna see a Jake x Hailey book? Also, I recently watched all three The Kissing Booth movies and all three To All The Boys I've Loved Before movies. Super good movies! Would definitely recommend!
