The blonde and the lady went inside the shrine office. "Lady Y/N, I shall teach you how to make sencha." The man says and the lady nods, delighted.
The lady stands beside the blonde and follows the man's steps.
"Lady Y/N."
"Yes, Neito?"
"I have mentioned before that I was not a wealthy man, have I not?" The blonde asks.
"You have, Neito." The lady says and keeps quiet as she only follows how to make tea.
"Those two... Tetsutetsu and Itsuka – ah, my apologies – lady Itsuka. The three of us had always been together since our families are low of that as a commoner.
But their fathers were hardworking people. They were able to climb their way up, away from the lower class." The blonde says and waits for the water to cool down, keeping his hands behind him while the lady keeps her hands on the table.
"Being acquaintances with a commoner while being a noble or a bourgeois will stain their reputation. So, I took the initiative to stray away from their path as I have stayed a commoner." The blonde further adds.
Though his voice sounded calm, his eyes spoke differently as it showed a sorrowful glimmer.
"That is more to the story of how I ended up living here, lady Y/N." He says and brews the tea inside the teapot.
"Have you not missed them so, Neito?" The lady asks, feeling saddened to hear the blonde's story.
"Yes, I have. And I love them dearly. Which is why I chose to stay away so they would live a normal life like that of a noble." The blonde answers.
The lady remained silent and they had their own sencha teas in their cups.
"Let us exchange, lady Y/N. I would love to taste your drink." The blonde says.
"I am afraid that this will not suit your taste still." The lady says with nervousness.
"Every tea you make will always be luscious to me, lady Y/N." The man says, which made the woman look away, suppressing a grin.
"If you say so, Neito." The lady says and they both switched cups.
The lady raised the cup and so did the blonde. They both drink at the same time.
"Neito! This is the finest tea that I have tasted in years!" The lady said and could not help but sip once more from the cup.
"You flatter me, lady Y/N. And I must say, your tea tasted more delectable than before." The blonde says as he smiles at the lady.
"You are lying, Neito!"
"I certainly am not, lady Y/N."
They both laugh at each other and the lady sips again from the cup, humming at how good it tasted.
The blonde man stares at the lady. He feels the way his heart went full, at how everything felt overwhelming.
Kami, I do not wish for more but for this moment to last long. Thought the man.
