I'm scared
Because I can hear every thump
My heart makes against my chest
I can hear it throttle and echo
Against my bones
And skin
And I can hear it
Making my eyes swell
And my head swim
And Im scared because I can hear it all
And I can hear them
And Im scared because I want
The world to go silent
And im scared because I want
All these impossible things.
They tell me when this happens
All i have to do is focus
Breathing in and out
In and out
In and out
But if I breath
In and out,
In and out
Then I'll focus too much on my breathing
And the cycle will repeat.
