An Unfamiliar Home

I stood on my tiptoes as I passionately kissed my lover. Everyone except us had left the room. I then pulled away, us staring into each other's eyes, a smile plastered on both of our faces. "Do I have to go?" I whined; my arms still wrapped around Tom's neck.

"I wish you did not, but that sadly isn't an option for us." The voice of my boyfriend said, his eyes filled with love, safety, and honesty. I connected our lips once more. I didn't want to leave. I didn't wish to be separated from my lover.

I then pulled away as I spoke into my lover's neck. "I will see you at Christmas then."

With that, I left my lover's side, and walked to the fireplace. I grabbed the green dust, threw it into the flames, and watched my lover as I was engulfed in green flames. I then landed within the living area of the Diggory household. I saw Cedric, and we all went into the car.

Upon arrival at Kings Cross Station, I get from the car, grab my luggage and Hedwig, and head for the barrier. Me and Cedric walk through one at a time, and we board the train. I separate from Cedric as I climb into the compartment with Ronald and Hermione. "I still don't understand why you wouldn't come celebrate your birthday with us?" Came Ron's voice as I put my luggage above the seat and sat.

I didn't celebrate my birthday with the Weasley's, well some of them, because I celebrated it with Tom and the rest of the dark side at Malfoy Mannor. I look out the window as I remember the birthday I had. It started with Tom kissing me for the first half hour of the morning until a house elf, whose name was Calla, brought me breakfast in bed. After breakfast, and Tom kissing my neck as I ate, I went downstairs to see all of my family, and a couple other Death Eaters who live in the mansion, with presents for me.

I opened every present and was thrilled with them all. I received books from Sirius, a knife encrusted with emeralds on the slick black handle from my mother, magical hair supplies from my mom, a potions kit that contained ingredients and tools from my father, and a quidditch manual from my dad. I received a dark arts book from Lupin, hair gel from Draco, a couple fancy robes from Lucius, and a new trunk from Narcissa. I then received even more books from Hermione, a wand case from Luna, a new coat from Cedric, and some plants from Neville. Arthur had gotten me a muggle camera, Percy got me higher level books, Bill got me a goblin language dictionary, Charlie got me a ticket to Romania and a dragon book, and the twins had built me a bracelet that would protect me from any charms or potions applied by others. Barty, whom I had become good friends with, got me some dueling robes which were a beautiful hunter green. I then received, in the mail, a cake from Molly, a bunch of sweets from Ronald, and a bunch of nude pictures from Ginny with a love letter. I threw away everything, and as I went to throw away the pictures and letter, Tom saw them. I am not being dramatic when I say he went off the henges, well, at least the door to our bedroom went off its henges, and across the hallway.

Besides Tom losing his mind and having received nude pictures, my birthday went by really smoothly.

I then replied, "I still don't feel safe without Cedric in this compartment. But I felt bad for keeping him from his friends." Me and Cedric are continuing to keep our act up this year.

"Harry," Hermione had spoken up, "There is every right to be scared of the Dark Lord you know. So don't feel bad about it. Everyone fears him." She was telling the partial truth in her statement. There was one person who didn't fear him. Me.

"I need some air" I say, excusing myself from the cart. I then walk to the teachers compartments and slide open the compartment door containing my father. "So, what did Tom tell you to do?" I said, now sitting beside him. He looked to me before turning his head back to the window.

"Protect you. Though, I would have done that anyways. He also said to make sure that if your grades fall below basic in any class, to report it to him immediately." He continued to stare out the window as he speaks, I now know where I get it from at least.

"Well, luckily, you'll only have to report my divination grade. I swear, Ginny could lose interest in me before I could get a good grade in Trelawney's class." I chuckle.

"I still don't understand why Dumbledore would hire her. I mean, she would make much more money in the muggle world than at Hogwarts." He replies. I nod as I get up and return to my compartment. When I reach the door, I hear the two inside speaking.

"Hermione, you don't understand! I can't leave them! If I do, then Dumbledore will kill me!" Ron shouts. I look inside to see him with a tear stained face. I then open the compartment, and Ron looks at me. "Harry! How much did you hear?" His voice trembles as he stares at me.

"Enough" is all I say as I shut the door behind me.
