A twelve-year-old male with black hair and chocolate brown eyes named Benjamin 'Benny' Franklin Rodriguez lies on his bed in his bedroom. He is wearing a brown baseball glove in his right hand, catching the baseball whenever he throws it above him with his left. His eyes blinked when he heard his mother gossiping in Spanish.

" ¡José! ¡José! Emily me llamó y me dijo que tendríamos nuevos vecinos viviendo frente a nosotros," Benny's mother, Miriam Rodriguez, speaks. [Translation: Jose! Jose! Emily called and told me that we would have new neighbors living across the street from us.]

" Is that so?" Benny's father, Jose Rodriguez, responded in English.

Benny raised an eyebrow when he heard that they would have new neighbors living across the street from their place. He caught the baseball and sat up when he heard a car engine stop running and people speaking.

" ¡Son ellos! ¡Necesito cocinar algo y darles la bienvenida a nuestro vecindario!" Benny hears his mother speak and run in the background. [Translation: It's them! I need to cook something and welcome them to our neighborhood!]

Benny gets off his bed, stretches, and walks toward the window. He gently pulls the curtain to the side and sees a family of four getting out of the car.

Benny hummed. His chocolate brown eyes blink when he sees an older male with blonde hair and blue eyes walk around the car and stand to stare at the house.

' That guy must be the dad,' Benny tells himself.

Benny's chocolate brown eyes blink when he sees an older female with short-length wavy brown hair and blue eyes stand next to the older blonde-haired male.

' That must be the mother,' Benny nods his head in response.

Benny looks away from the parents and turns his gaze to two children who look close to his age.

' Sweet! Two new kids to play baseball with the guys and me,' Benny brightly smiled.

Benny leans closer to the window to study the two children. His chocolate brown eyes blinked when he saw a child with long red hair in a ponytail, wearing masculine clothing and an Angels hat on their head.

" Ugh! He's an Angels fan," Benny dramatically speaks while rolling his chocolate brown eyes. " Don't worry. Soon, I will let him know that the Dodgers are the best Baseball team in Los Angeles," He nods his head, looking and feeling determined to show off his favorite baseball team to the new kid.

Benny's chocolate brown eyes widened when he saw the red-haired child begin to turn. He stepped to the right, letting the curtains cover him, and peaked when he saw the child look his way but couldn't see him thanks to the curtains.

Benny's chocolate brown eyes blinked when he saw that the red-haired child had freckles all over their face like his friend, Ham. However, what caught his attention was seeing the child's pretty face and bright blue eyes, which reminded him of those child actors or famous boy band members on TV.

' I wonder if he plays baseball or is too pretty and thinks baseball is lame,' Benny tells himself, looking and feeling curious about having the red-haired child play baseball with him and his friends. ' Then again, he must at least know the sport if he is wearing an Angels hat,' He rubbed his chin and sighed in relief when he saw the child look away.

Benny then turns his attention to the second child with blonde hair and blue eyes. He noticed the child was a bit shorter than the red-haired child.

' That blonde kid must be his kid brother,' Benny tells himself.

' He seems like a nerd with his formal clothing. Then again, Squints is a nerd and plays baseball amazingly, so I cannot judge that kid's physical appearance yet,' Benny looked forward and panicked when he saw the younger child stare at him.
