Song: Just the two of us (Grover Washington Jr)

Japanese Festival Au
(Hypothetical)

Taisho Era

"Oh My! That wasn't very much a of difficult mission, is it, Tomioka-san?" The insect pillar asked the water pillar cheerfully but he doesn't seem to be in a mood to answer. He leaves a sigh and nodded in agreement.

"Now, the villagers will safely and securely enjoy the firework festival tonight because of us." The insect pillar, with her sweet voice, added.

Suddenly, the water pillar turned and walked towards her, sheathing his katana back near his waist after jerking off the blood. The insect pillar did the same and then joined the tall, raven haired, with a mismatch haori, for their way back to the village.

They saw people walking with women wearing beautiful, brightly coloured and patterned yukatas and the men wearing kenpei.

"Aah! So you two lovie-dovies are back, at last!" An old lady, more specifically, their landlord, who has given them a rented room for the mission unknowingly since there wasn't any wisteria house in the area, said. She was walking with the support of a long stick by one hand and the other hand on her back.

"We aren't a cou-"

"Aah! Yes, we are back. How are you doing, Baa-san?" Shinobu cut Giyu out.

"Well, I thought it's a nice time for site seeing. Moreover, it's festival night and the fireworks will be shown today, so why don't you two join and enjoy the night together?" She suggested them politely, her lips forming a lopsided curve.

"Thank you very much but-"

"Oh, we would love to, Baa-san! Are you heading for there right now with your grandson?" Shinobu again asked her, cutting Giyu off again, but this time, she pinched the back of his palm.

"Well, yes, I am. He's still a child so I need to take care of him." She gave a genuine smile while saying that as her grandson soon came running to her and clutched on her yukata.

"Dango! Baa-san, I want dango!" He demanded.

"Sure, dear! I will soon get you some, but first, say hello to these people." The old lady rubbed the back of her grandson.

The grandson looked on the two and pouted. Shinobu gave out a soft chuckle while Giyu just looked at home deadpan. The boy greeted and Shinobu and Giyu both head back to their 'rented house' to change.

Both of them did tell their crows to report back to the headquarters before they went to join the festival.

Giyu was reluctant to go there but Shinobu said something because of which he had to join her as well.

The water pillar wore a simple black yukata with his mismatched haori over it.

He was the one waiting for both of them to go to the festival. He was now standing outside their rented house with his arms crossed, looking over the starry night sky. The place lightened with paper lamps and many people were walking past him, talking and laughing to themselves, not talking about the man obviously.
