ANNA's POV :

We got into Damon 's large black range rover , he opens the door for me and i sit in , he starts driving , the ride was pretty mush silent , it's the first time i ride a car with him in 5 years .

Few minutes later , we arrived at his family's mansion , a lot of black cars were parked in the front , bodyguards were spread everywhere

-It's for protection, you know . Damon said

-it's a bit too mush don't you think ? I asked

-Not really , c'mon . He said as he gives me his hand

I stare at it and at him for a while , then I decide to grab it , he holds my hand tightly as we go towards the garden , once we arrived , i spot a lot of people, women and men , all dressed in black , men in their suits and women in their dresses , some wore suits as well , they all look like they belong to the mafia .

Damon notices my tension and he squeezes my hand a bit , he leans to my face and whispers something to my ear . " it's gonna be fine , just an hour and we'll be out of here , okey? He kisses my cheek as i nod .

While Damon is greeting his family acquaintances, i stand right next to him , the people with him greet me and i greet them back , while I'm dying to leave and go to dinner with him , why am i so excited to go out with him ?

Suddenly, my thoughts were cut when someone came from behind and patted on my shoulder , i turn around to find Damon's younger sister Anitta , looking all fancy and classy and very beautiful, she was wearing a simple black dress but she looked very pretty

- Hola ! She said

-hay... I replied

-glad you could make it , madre will be so happy
(Madre = mother)

-I couldn't turn down her request

-joder ! You look gorgeous . She said
(Joder= damn)

-Oh ! Thanks , you look pretty too . I replied

It didn't take too mush time until the rest of the family joined us .

Anna , welcome , I'm happy you came

Me too ms. Sorrentino

Julia
Oooh how many times i told you to call me Julia?

Anna
Right! I'm sorry , I'm just not used to it

Camila giggling
Don't call her that , she will think of herself very old

Stop it you two

They all started laughing , forgetting completely that this was a funeral, their father 's funeral, maybe Damon was right , maybe he was a bad man after all

Time has passed , the shroud of Damon's father has finally been buried , i could see the look of sadness on Julia's face , he was her husband after all .

After the burial , we spent a little more time inside the house , most of people were already gone , just a few stayed . " we'll leave in five minutes, get ready" Damon said , i nod at him , i stand up to greet Julia and the siblings.

Anna
Thank you , I'll try

Anitta winks
You don't have to try , Damon will bring you

I give her an awkward ashamed smile , i grab my purse and follow Damon .

We walk towards his car , he opens the door for me as i get in , he starts the car and drives off .

Anna
Where are we going ?

Damon
To have dinner

Anna
I know , but where?

Damon
Wait until you see

Anna
Fine , you were always like this anyway

Damon chuckling
Like what ?

Anna
Like this .... you wouldn't tell me where you'll take me

Damon
I'd like to keep it a surprise

Anna giggling
I think we passed the level of surprises

Damon winks
No ... not really
