Anastasia Forbes was thrilled to be back in her hometown of Mystic Falls, though she wished it was under better circumstances. As she walked into her childhood home, her mother peaked her head around the corner. "Ana! I thought you weren't going to be home till tomorrow." Liz pulled her youngest daughter into a hug.
"Well, I was, but I figured it would be easier to come home a day early as Caroline insisted I be here for senior prank night." A warm smile made its way onto the face of the young brunette.
"Either way, I am happy you are home. How are you feeling, sweetheart?" Both women looked down at the bump on Anastasia's stomach. "About as good as I can be for being seven months pregnant. Your granddaughter sure takes joy out of kicking my ribs." Ana let out a light laugh.
"That's normal. Caroline used to do it too. Now, why don't you head over to the school? I'm sure your friends will have a few questions about your current state."
"Well, only Care knows the true story, so I hope everyone has the same reaction she did. Granted, I was not thrilled with her killing the baby's father." Liz let out a sigh as she looked at her daughter with sadness. Even though a former classmate had violated her, Stasia couldn't help but feel guilt for her sister killing the man who did it.
"As much I wasn't happy to hear your sister took Care of him. If she didn't, I would have." The sheriff placed a light kiss on her daughter's forehead before she walked out.
Even after the terrible event that happened to her, Liz was glad her daughter seemed to be the same person she was.

As Ana walked through the halls of her high school, she couldn't help but think of past memories that made their way to her mind.
"Well, who might you be?" The young girl whipped her head to see an unfamiliar blonde standing a few feet away from her.
"Anastasia Forbes, it's nice to meet you. I take it you are new to Mystic Falls? I haven't seen you around before."
"I'm returning after what feels like a century. I'm Rebekah, and did you happen to say your last name was Forbes? As in Caroline Forbes?" The female Mikaelson looked at her with curiosity in her eyes.
"Yes, actually, she's my sister. Do you happen to know where she is? I told her I would meet her here." Ana realized that the person in front of her was supernatural, but she wanted to give Rebekah a chance for a good first impression.
Rebekah could hear her heart beating faster and couldn't help but smirk. "You seem to know what I am, yet you still stand here and act polite. Why?" Ana looked at the girl, confused.
"I don't like judging a book by its cover. Just because you are a vampire doesn't mean that you are evil. I believe everyone deserves kindness even if they prove that they aren't kind back."
The original was surprised by the words that left the brunette's mouth. This girl seemed almost as pure as they come and couldn't help but see her old self.
