jordan walked into vinnie bedroom.

jordan: where is he?
nai: i don't know! i'm scared he's going to hubert.

jordan sits down next to me.

jordan: let me call him
nai: i called him a million times. he won't answer.

jordan calls him up. no answer.

nai: fuck!
jordan: calm down nailea. he's probably just going on a walk to calm himself down. let's just wait for him to come back
nai: okay

me and jordan have been waiting in vinnie's room for half an hour now. his family were all still sleeping.

jordan: im sorry i kissed you

i turn around and look at him

nai: what?
jordan: im sorry nai. i shouldn't have done it.
nai: it's fine j, you don't have to apologize.

he sits down one the bed with me

jordan: no, it was messed up for me to do. you've been in this abusive relationship. you got cheated on twice and you trusted me. then i kissed you. it was fucked up.
nai: stop jordan. i told you to not apologize. i'm okay, you're okay. everything's fine
jordan: except it's not. you're badly hurt and vinnie's too.
nai: guess we can't have a normal year.

jordan chuckled. we both turned our head around when we heard the front door open. we heard someone go up the stairs. i jumped out of bed and waited. i jumped into vinnie's arms when i saw him.

nai: oh, thank god you're okay!

he doesn't hug me back. i pull away and i look at his hand. he was still bleeding.

jordan: dude, you scared us.
vinnie: why are you here. i just went on a walk. it's not like i fucking died.
nai: your hand. i though you were going to hurt hubert

he looked down at me

vinnie: oh like that would be so bad.
nai: it would! i want neither of you to get hurt.

vinnie furrowed his eyebrows.

vinnie: how are you still on his side? after everything he's done!
nai: im not on his side at all!! it's just hard to forget all our memories we had. we were together for a long time. you can't expect me to forget it all. i hate him but i unfortunately still love him. i don't want to love him but it's something i can't control. you wouldn't understand. the longest you've ever dated was two months.

vinnie walked into his room. i got bandage and other stuff that was in vinnie's room from last night

he sat down on his bed and took his hoodie off. leaving him in his wife beater. i took his arm

vinnie: what are you doing?
nai: im helping you out like you helped me.

i clean his hand up and i wrap bandage around it.

vinnie: i don't care dude! you didn't see what i saw.
jordan: it doesn't matter.

they continued arguing. i kissed vinnie's hand like he did. he half smiled at me.

my phone started ringing

vinnie: is that hubert!?

he said as he looked me in my eyes.

nai: calm down vinnie. it's my dad.
vinnie: okay

i answered

nai: hey
dad: where the hell have you been!
nai: im at vinnie's. i slept over
dad: and you didn't think to tell me?
nai: im sorry i-
dad: come home right now.

he hung up on me

nai: i gotta go. my dads angry at me.

jordan stands up

jordan: i'll drive you home

nai: thank you for the ride j.

i open the car door

jordan: wait. nailea.

i turn around to him

nai: what is it
jordan: i- i'm really sorry about the kiss. like really. i can't get it out of my head.
nai: jordan. i told you it was fine.
jordan: no it was so fucking wrong i r-

i cup his cheeks and kiss him to shut him up.

he didn't kiss back but then he did. i pull away and smile.

nai: thank you again.

i get out of the car and i hurry up inside. my dad immediately started cussing me out in spanish.

dad: what happened to your leg!
nai: i fell but it's not that bad. i gotta go now!

i run upstairs to avoid another life lesson.

i lay down in my bed and sigh. mario came into my room.

mario: hey.
nai: hey mar
mario: are you okay?

he looked sad

nai: yeah. something happened?
mario: i broke up with my girlfriend.
nai: oh mario

i get up and hug him

nai: what happened?
mario: apparently she was hanging out with noah and they kissed.

i gasp

nai: no! omg, with noah!?
mario: she tried to lie about it too. she said she was hanging out with her cousin before i told her i knew they kissed.
nai: im sorry mar. you wanna go to dunkin and get some donuts?
mario: yeah
