QUEEN'S FATE

He sat and pulled me down next to him. I was shocked by his behaviour and couldn't speak.
He chuckled at my shock and spoke up.
" I was passing by when I heard that bastard rejecting you and thought you might need company" hearing about it I came back to reality and shook my head.

"It's fine actually I do feel the pain but surprisingly I feel free and okay. I feel like I wasn't meant to be with them. Something was definitely odd and when I saw him with my sister I didn't feel the pain, it shocked me and still does" he nodded as if understanding.

I knew I sounded like an idiot because the pain of rejection is the worst. But to me it has turned to an small ache.

"That might be cause you are gifted by the goddess to have a second mate" he said. I scoffed

"That's a myth it can't happen " getting second chance mate was a myth. It was not possible for me

" no it's not, it is rare but not impossible I myself has seen two second chance mates and  they are together for long happily. " he explained smiling.

"So will you joining the festivities inside " he asked with a easy smile

I shook my head no. " I have no interest in these function. I came here because of two reasons. One being it was necessary and second I wanted to meet the council I heard they were here tonight but that doesn't seem to be the case"

On hearing the name of the council the man stiffened he looked at me with a quirked eyebrow. "Why do you want to meet them" he asked

"Well I would tell you the reason,but I know you will laugh" I said

"I won't, I am curious as to why you want to meet the council when a lot of young wolves do not even know about them" he asked

"Umm... Ok well I really want to be a part of the council. Take the test and study at the academy if not an council member at least an enforcer " I explained and the man nodded

"Oh by the way I am Damien, may I know your name" he asked

I blushed thinking a handsome man was asking about me

"It's Crescent" I replied

"Well if you answer a few of my questions I could help you with your problem" Damien said

He knew he was being nosy but couldn't stop being curious.

When Crescent nodded he began asking her stuff

"Why do you want to join the royals and how much do you know about them" he asked

"I knew about them from listening to my father and the Alpha. They are only under the king. They have some of the most amazing powers and they govern the kingdom along the king. I do know that in order be a part of them we have to appear the Academy test and undergo training. For being an enforcer a additional month of physical training. They are stronger than most Alpha and have control over them" I spoke in a single breath.

Damien was amazed by the girl's knowledge. Not a lot of people knew about the council and to know about them in such depth she would have studied rigorously.

"Why didn't you take a test yet " he asked
Suddenly the smile lighting the face of Crescent diminished

"My parents do not think that I am capable enough" Damien didn't agree to it. He knew Crescent would be a beautiful addition to the troop.

"Well since you answered my questions truthfully, let me take you somewhere if you don't mind"  he asked offering a hand

Crescent realised nothing was stopping her.  She knew the original face of her family and her mate. So if she could relieve herself from the tension for while while talking to Damien then no harm was done. So she accepted his hand and followed him.....
