It was now boxing day and me mum and Chris were watching home alone with the dogs laying at our feet
Half way through the movie there was a knock on the door
"I'll get it" I say jumping up from my spot on the couch
"Oh hey Louis how was your Christmas" I ask after I open the door
"It was good yeah I uh I forgot to give you this when we did our guft exchange" he said handing me a little box and scratching his neck
"Oh my- Louis this is beautiful...thank you so much" I say giving him a bug hug

"No problem" he whispered
"Help me put it on?" I ask holding the necklace
"Of course"
He grabbed the necklace from my hand and I turned around holding my hair up and out of the way
Once he clasped it on I turned back around so I was facing him
"Thanks" I said shyly
"Y/n sweetheart you coming back?" I hear mum call
"I uh got to go but um thank you again" I smile
"No problem" he says smiling back
I hesitate for a second before placing a kiss on his cheek and running back into the house leaving a shocked Louis
"Sorry" I say sitting back down between Chris and mum
"Who was it?" Chris asked
"Oh it was Louis he forgot to give me something when we did the gift exchange" I say pulling the blanket over us
"Oh what did he give you?" Mum asked
"This" I say holding up the necklace for them to see
"That's pretty" mum smiled
"Mhm" Chris agreed
We turned our focus back to the TV and continued watching the movie
*Time skip to after around 2*
Currently it was just me and Chris as mum got a call from work saying they needed her to sign some papers and look over a case file
I have been going over my plan for about 20 minutes
What my plan you may ask? To talk to Chris and ask if it's okay if I call him dad
I know we've only known each other for about 7 months but it just seems so natural calling him dad and all
Anyways I've been going over how I'm going to ask him and well bring it up
I've come to a conclusion....I'm gonna forget about the plan and just wing it so here I go
I make my way over to the kitchen where Chris was currently at
"Hey Chrissssss" I nervously say
"Hi y/nnnnn" he smiles
"I uh I was wondering if I could ask you something" I say looking at my hands
"Of course you can kiddo, everything okay?" He asks starting to get worried
"Oh uh yeah everythings okay I hope" I say muttering the last part
"What's up?" He asks bringing over to the table so we can sit
"Uh well I honestly dont know how to um ask this or start this but uh I know we've only known eachother for like 7 months or something but there's this feeling and I uh haven't felt it since my dad passed away-" Chris looked confused but interested so I continued "-and uh well I guess I just feel like I have a dad again" I whisper looking down at my hands once again
"What did you say?" He softly asks
"Uh I said I uh feel like I have a dad again....I don't know how to explain it but it just feels so natural and your like always there for me and take care of me like my dad did and you make mum so happy also I already almost called you dad a couple of times but I didn't want to scare you away because like I said you make my mum really happy and same with me but I thought you know you would back out? I don't know...what I'm trying to say is, is okay if I called you dad" I rush out taking in a huge breath that was much needed
I slowly looked up to see what his reaction was
What I saw shocked me he had glossy eyes and big smile on his face
"Aw kiddo come here" he said opening his arms for me
I stood up and wrapped my arms around his back pressing my head onto his chest
"I'd be honored to have you call me dad kiddo...your not going to scare me away I here for the long haul" he said rubbing my back
"Promise?" I ask with a pout
"Promise" he smiled
