To say everyone, but Annie, was shocked would be an understatement. Daniel just randomly shouted out that he's gay, Antonio claiming Annie's gonna live with us before I did and the look of confusion on Rachel's face was legendary.
Naomi left to go get ready for the trip after congratulating Annie and Daniel then giving Desmond 'the look'.

After the initial shock, we all decided to go out to lunch to talk things through. We made sure to put Annie between us, of course. I began sipping my coffee to avoid laughing at Rachel's face

"So, how long have you known that you're gay?" Desmond asked Daniel who has not lifted his head

"Uh, its been a little over three years" he replied with his head still facing the table

"Why didn't you tell me?" Rachel asked making him scoff

"And say what. 'Hey mom, listen I realized the reason why I've never liked the people who you've set me up with, and it's because I'm gay and I have a boyfriend that I've been seeing for two years' like you'd let me mess up your perfect fami..."

"Daniel Andrews!" Rachel yelled banging the table.
I like this Daniel, plus he treats my tiny human good

"So, you've been seeing someone for two years?" Desmond asked him with a fatherly tone

"Yeah" he replied as silence joined our table

"You a top or bottom?" Desmond said making Annie choke on air

"Top, he's very submissive"

"My man" he replied and gave his step-son a high five laughing together

"So, uh, I was wondering if I could stay behind and volunteer as well. I could also learn a few things and get to know Juliette better" Alice said 

"Yes that would be a wonderful idea, you can also stay in their house a..."

"No" Annie said cutting Rachel off making me smirk

"Why not? Wouldn't you want to bond with your sister Juliette?" Rachel said way too slowly for my liking

"Wouldn't you like to bond with your daughter Rachel?" Annie replied with so much fire in her eyes

"I have ample time to bond with her as I'll see her for the rest of my life" Rachel said plastering on a fake smile

"What a coincidence, I also just so happen to have ample time to bond with her as I'll be seeing her for the rest of my life" she said smirking, not once backing down.

"It's Mrs Roberts" she said smiling at me

"Didn't ask, the volunteering position was only and will only be offered to Miss Juliette not only for being cute, as my assistant pointed out, but for being able to score a 7.0 GPA and receiving her Masters of Architecture Degree. Unlike Anis..."

"...who passed with bare minimum results" I said lifting my coffee cup

"Mr Roberts your daughter is talented and brilliant, we wouldn't be taking this risk on her if we didn't see potential" Antonio said, which is true.
Even though this whole thing is fake, we do still want to see our baby girl succeed in whatever she wants to do in life. She put her hand on both our thighs to express her gratitude but fuuuccckkk it was not helping my situation down there
