When I woke up the next morning Natsu was gone. I searched for him but he was nowhere to be found. I took a shower when I heard that familiar voice yell "I'm back!". After we ate me and Natsu did the dishes. "Sorry you had such a horrible birthday yesterday." I said. "Nah, it's nothing. I've been through worse." he said whike finishing the last plate. I pecked his lips and asked "How are things between you and Ryu.". "Good, I think"
Flashback
Natsu's pov
I came back from my walk last night and I went to Ryu's room. I knocked on the door and heard "Come in.". I slowly opened the door and saw Ryu was drawing. "Sorry for-" "It's okay Ryu. You were right. I'm not your dad. And I will never be able to replace him. It's perfectly fine by me if you wanna call me Natsu instead of dad. But... But just let me try to be a good father. You will always be my first kid. You're special to me. That's all I wante-" I was cut off by a hug coming from Ryu. "I love you, dad" I hugged him back his head was against my chest "I love you too, son."
