"Strap in. There's no time to spare," Nigel instructed, and Matt didn't dare object. He'd seen how wild the man drove a car, and he hated traveling by plane as it was. His stomach lurched as they hit some mid-air turbulence. Nigel beamed as he glanced over his shoulder. "Dr. Bravestone, famed archaeologist and international explorer, I'm so glad you've returned. I've been so anxious for your arrival."

Eddie looked over in confusion. "You talking to me?"

"Yes." Fridge said, frustrated that he couldn't grasp the concept.

"Once again, Jumanji is in great peril and only you can help," Nigel exclaimed.

"Nigel, we're looking for our friend. Have you seen, like, anyone—"

"Ruby Roundhouse, killer of men," Nigel interrupted, "welcome to Jumanji."

Eddie frowned. "'Killer of men'?"

Martha nodded her head nervously. "Yeah, I—I kill guys."

"I'm so glad you've returned," Nigel repeated, "I've been so anxious for your arrival."

"What's with this fella?" Milo whispered.

"My dearest Mouse, surely you remember me. Nigel Billingsly at your service."

"Hey. Nigel," Milo nodded with a smile, "I thought that was you."

"He's a—What is it called?" Fridge asked Martha for a reminder.

"NPC," she answered a bit unsure, "a non-player character."

"He's not a real person," Fridge clarified.

Matt nodded in agreement. "He only has a limited number of things he can say."

"My friend Carl is just like that," Milo began to start another long-winded story.

"This is so cool!" Danny exclaimed, practically bouncing in his seat.

"Brock Callaway," Nigel introduced the new avatar, "Jumanji's own Casanova, a pleasure to finally meet you. I've been so anxious for your arrival."

"Nigel, we're looking for someone," Martha tried again, "Has anyone else arrived here in Jumanji—"

"Jumanji is in great peril. It's all detailed in the letter I sent you, Dr Bravestone. Perhaps you should read it aloud."

"Grandpa Eddie," Martha asked, "Do you have a letter?"

"Do I have a letter?" Eddie repeated.

"Check your pockets," Martha instructed.

"Why would I have a letter?" Eddie asked.

"Because Nigel wrote you a letter," Martha explained.

"I didn't get a letter from this guy," Eddie insisted.

"But we are in a video game, and—"

"We're in a video game?"

"We're gonna die." Fridge muttered as he looked at the ground.

Matt scoffed. "Now you agree with me."

"We did die." Milo added his input.

"Are we in hell?" Eddie asked.

"I knew it." Milo nodded his head.

"Oh, my gosh." Martha lowered her head down into the palm of her hands.

Danny chuckled as he leaned back in his seat, far too relaxed for Matt's liking. "This is more entertaining than the time my Grandpa Jim tried to set up the Wi-Fi."
