"Tenors and Sopranos to the right, Altos and Basses to the left, please."

The music classroom was not that different to others in the school. The main disparity was in the lack of traditional desks and the increase of instruments and music stands.

"Yes, Miss Kim."

The Teacher is a dark brunette in her mid-30's. She's much more jubilant than the likes of the academic instructors and dressed as such, too - bright, striking colours adorn her figure.

Jimin and Taehyung have returned from the office and are both standing with Molan and Jungkook in the Tenor and Soprano section. Molan finds his proximity unnerving; especially because of how they left things the last time she was at school.

"Aren't you a Bass Taehyung?" She says, coldly.

"I can sing tenor if I want to."

Molan rolls her eyes. "It's not about what you can sing - it's about what you sing most comfortably. There's no point being in this vocal group if you're going to strain."

"You've never even heard me singing tenor. How would know whether or not I strain?"

"I was just saying -"

"Molan and Taehyung!" Miss Kim exclaims, interrupting the spat. "I don't remember asking anyone to talk... but since you're both so enthusiastic you can come up here and be my volunteers."

Taehyung shoots daggers from his eyes and Molan feels a little guilty, too - but doesn't show it. When the two of them reach the front of the class, Miss Kim hands them each a sheet of paper.

"Before we start to sing, or play, we have to understand the foundation to any musical performance. Emotion. That's why we always start by having students take a well known song and act it out as a script." She looks to Taehyung and Molan. "I take it you both know the basics of song structure?"

They nod.

"This song is called 'Somebody that I used to know'. I don't expect you to have heard of it before, and that's the idea. Before putting a melody to the lyrics I want you to feel the emotion in them; so read them out like you're having a conversation, okay?" She looks to Taehyung. "You start."

As Taehyung glances over the sheet there's a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He wants to make a good impression on the Teacher, especially after being berated earlier - but he's not sure he can actually deliver these lyrics. Not to Molan.

"Okay..." He inhales deeply, trying to compose himself before turning to his ex-girlfriend. Given their history it's a really unfortunate song choice - but he supposes he'll have to go through with it.

"Now and then I think of when we were together... like when you said you felt so happy you could die." He breathes heavily and Molan seems uncomfortable meeting his gaze. "I told myself that you were right for me - but felt so lonely in your company."

"But that was love." Says Molan, reading out her line.

"And it's an ache I still remember." Taehyung inhales again, preparing for the chorus. "But you didn't have to cut me off. Make out like it never happened and that we were nothing?"

"And I don't even need your love... " Says Molan.

"But you treat me like a stranger... and that feels so rough. You didn't have to stoop so low." A bitter kind of anger is lacing Taehyung's voice - and though to the rest of the class it may appear like he's just doing an excercise Molan knows that it's more than that. She knows that he really means what he's saying.
