Episode 51 - The Boy

"It was always you"

He left her. She didn't understand the meaning beyond those words. It took a moment for her to pull herself and head back to her bedroom.

The weekend moved like a dead tortoise as no one was home. Jungkook had been busy with his office work even in weekend as Taehyung was away. It was monday morning and she was making breakfast. Her plan was to have all set for work by thursday and Taehyung will be back by friday along with Juri and Frank. She called Juri wanting know how was the surprise. She laughed when all she could hear was her constant non stop voice blabbering on how Taehyung is sweetly annoying. She got the official mail regarding her date of joining which will be next monday. She spent her time around swimming pool and gardens and also developed a small interest towards paintings.

She was busy on tuesday and wednesday as she had to do some prior procedure before joining. She woke up next morning with a kiss on her cheek. She saw Jungkook hastily leaving for work. She was going to mall today to buy footwears. The one that she has are all fancy. Lazily, getting up from bed she did her routine. She was brushing her teeth looking her reflection at the mirror. Her eyes fell on the diamond in her ring that shined attracting her attention. She halted her brushing and she sat on the bearest slab still glancing at the ring. The previous ring tighter which hurted her finger but this ring was perfect which fitted her slender finger and it was little big in size. She removed the ring from her finger and her eyes just gazed at the small thing.

She remembered what all happened to her from the day she met Jungkook. She recollected the first time she met him. She recalled how she slapped him. She brought back the memory of her first kiss being taken away. She remembered the second time she met him, how she escaped before her wedding. She reminisced how her wedding happened. Her thoughts were interrupted and she dropped the ring startled when she heard a bang on the bathroom door.

"I am so sorry mam" a girl of Layla's age bowed her head down.

"My mother is having a seizure and she is admitted in the hospital. I need permission to leave the house but the cheif maid or the head sceurity is not allowing me. I am begging you mam. Please let me leave" she had tears flowing down her eyes.

Layla looked at the girl surprisingly. Layla immediately scurried to the head security. When she questioned about this insolent act of not allowing the poor maid to leave the mansion when her mother is admitted in hospital, security replied that it is a rule in this house for those who work, if they have take a day off, they have to give one day or atleast four hours prior notice.

Prior notice should be given for any kind of emergency.

What kind of bullshit is this? Her mind screamed.

"Let her go this instance. Emergencies doesn't give prior notice and come. So let her go" Layla told in her firm voice.

"Mam..." the security head was about to deny again but then he was stopped by Layla.

"If you are not letting her now, I shall take her with me and leave her at her place by myself" she told in her bold voice.

Finally the girl was given permission to leave the mansion to see her admitted mother.

The hell with the rules and this house she thought.

Layla quickly got ready and had her breakfast. Reaching the mall, she went straight to the footwear section. She felt the mall to be crowded more today. She did not want to spend much time or money. Since Jungkook was not there everything was in her hands. She would just pick few pairs and get all ready for next week to have her first job. Wherever she went, she attracted attention as the guards followed. The lady bodyguard accompanied her even to the restroom for her protection.

After purchasing all the needs, they reached the ground floor. When she was walking towards the exit, there was a loud sound and people from different end corners started pouring out to show their dances. A banner hung from the top floor which held the bold letters of FLASHMOB.

In a second, the whole ground floor got filled with people and music started blaring. She lost her people. Her green eye searched for her guards, atleast to find one of them. Her greeen eyes did land on one of them but she felt her hand being pulled from the crowd. She feel see who it was but she felt someone who is little smaller than her. Maybe a boy she thought. Her handbad that she was holding in one had and the crowd made it difficult to firm on her stand. She was now being pulled through the exit door. Only when she was out, she saw whom it was. He removed the cap that he was wearing. The one who brought her out was Samuel.

Her green forests widened looking at the boy infront of her. She embraced him in a full hug. Her heart filled with happiness after a long time. She kissed the boy's cheek.

"How are you Sam?" She enquired.

"I missed you" the boy told.

"Look at you. You have grown a lot" she told.

Immediately she looked behind her back to see if any of the guards are following her. She pulled the boy behind a pillar to hide from them.

"You are here alone?" She asked.

"No I am here with my friends for my birthday" he told.

Indeed he looked changed. She was seeing him after a long time. He was now fifteen years old. She could also sense something weird with him. In her eyes, he always a little boy but now he was still her boy but something was different.

"I missed you a lot" Layla told feeling nostalgic.

"Mom told me you will never come again" he told.

"Sammy do you wanna go somewhere? Let me buy you your favourite" she told looking around trying to be invisible from her bodyguards.

She really wanted to spend some time with the kid. She wished she saw him on his birthday two weeks ago and she thought that would never happen. But by god's way, she was here standing before the kid wishing him his birthday wishes. Everything happened on it's way. She longed to see him and that has happened without her knowledge itself. A few minuted wouldn't hurt her. She just have to be careful of not letting Jungkook know that she met Samuel.

"Sure. Let's go. I know a place" Samuel told.

"You see those men in suits, they should not see me" she spoke.

Samuel understood. Both snuck out like a snake and started walking along the streets. Samuel gave his cap to hide her face. Just when they were about to turn around the corner, her eyes landed on the lady bodyguard of hers who was roaming outside the mall, drenched in sweat, scanning vigorously all around the street. For a mere second, Layla felt like the lady's eyes fall on her. Immediately turning the around the corner into an alley, Layla caught Samuel's hand and started running.

She did not know for sure whether the bodyguard saw her or not. But now she was running as if she was escaping. Uneasiness battered her whole body. She felt something was wrong as she kept running. She was scared on what will Jungkook do if he comes to know. She had the guts to make a bold decision a little ago but now as her feet kept on taking leaps, her confidence dropped little by little.

Suddenly a black suv halted blocking their way in the alley. Her green forest eyes widened in devastation and fear on who it will be.
