Izuku was glad that Mineta went home for the weekend, giving him some peace of mind as he fell asleep that night. He woke up feeling well rested and generally happy. His date with Kacchan went so well yesterday! Izuku felt like squealing now that he had the energy again! He got dressed with a big dumb smile on his face, hopping down the stairs and skipping over to the kitchen to get breakfast.
"You're in a good mood" Todoroki commented, standing in the kitchen with Yaoyorozu, who'd just made some tea and handed Todoroki a cup. Guess his date with Bakugou really went well then. I hope they're not big on PDA though, otherwise I'll be third wheeling on our internship. Is it called third wheeling? I thought that's what Kaminari called it... I should ask him later, to be sure. Izuku smiled and nodded, signing good morning to them before taking out the cereal.
"Oh, I should mention there's also the cake Sato baked. He wanted to tell you you can eat it whenever, it's in the fridge" Yaoyorozu told him, taking a sip from her cup.
"Want some? It's green tea"
Hm, he could go for some tea, why not? Izuku nodded, gladly accepting the cup Yaomomo poured out for him.
Bakugou entered the dorm not much later, clearly coming back from his morning run with Kirishima.
"Morning nerd" Kacchan mumbled, ruffling Izuku's hair as he passed the green head on his way to the showers. Izuku blushed, earning a snicker from Kirishima, who followed his best friend without a second thought. Man, Bakubro is so smitten for Midoriya! I'm surprised it took them this long to get together, to be honest.
Yeah, well, Kacchan hadn't always been smitten with him... There were times when things were very different between them. A small frown came to his face as he drank his tea. He didn't like to be reminded of his middle school days, of the person Kacchan used to be. It still hurt, in a way. Maybe he should talk with him about it..? Like, really talk.
"Something the matter, Midoriya?" Todoroki asked, noticing his mood dip. I thought he was on cloud nine? Did something happen? Izuku shook his head, giving his friend a smile and quickly throwing up an okay sign.
"Morning guys!" Uraraka smiled as she entered the common room, walking up to them straight away. Stay calm, act normal, nothing happened. Yeah! Nothing happened! She probably didn't mean anything with it anyway! Izuku didn't understand what she was thinking about, greeting her and trying to ignore her inner turmoil up until-
Girls can kiss, there isn't anything wrong with that! Yeah, there were friends who'd kissed in middle school, it's totally fine! It doesn't have to mean anything! And I'm sure Tsu didn't mean anything with it either! Izuku's eyes widened and he almost choked on his tea. Asui kissed Uraraka?! What?! When?! He didn't even know she had feelings for her! And he could read minds for crying out loud!
"So, Deku-kun, tell me everything" she said.
"I wanna know all the details of your date with Bakugou-kun!"
[Can you even understand what I'm saying? Besides, you're the one who should tell me everything, you kissed a girl and you're in denial about it] Izuku signed to her, earning a cough from a little further away. Kacchan had just left the bathroom and was getting some water when he caught Izuku's signals, taken completely off guard.
Floaty did what? With who?
For someone who claimed he didn't care about any of the other extras, Kacchan was pretty involved in everyone's business.
"Okay, this isn't working" Uraraka frowned as Katsuki walked up to them.
[You can't just sign that stuff! You're reading her mind, aren't you?] Katsuki signed, smart enough to make sure no one else could understand him.
[Like you didn't just come over because you're curious about who she kissed] Izuku signed back with a small smirk.
"Are you two talking about me?" Uraraka frowned, catching their attention.
"You two keep pointing at me, it's not exactly subtle"
[Sorry] Izuku signed.
"He was just telling me you need a translator" Kacchan scoffed, sitting down next to Izuku.
"Or weren't you about to interrogate Deku?"
